Nice hotel ruined by appalling service and staff

Called ahead of time because I knew I would be arriving late (aft midnight). Was told by front desk staff that wasn't a problem and my room would be held. When I arrived I was told that I didn't have a room available. Because they were booked to capacity and I should have called ahead of time. No apology. I managed to get a room at a lesser hotel across the street. However they only could accommodate me for one of my two nights there. The next morning at 10 am I returned to the Marriott and was told they would be able to accommodate me for that night but I would have to come back at 1 pm. Just what I planned to do on a 2 day stay in Chicago. Hang around the airport Marriott hotel all day to rectify their mistake. Again not even a whiff of an apology. I asked for the general manager but he was unavailable. I tried to call his number for 2 hours but went straight to a busy signal not even an answer machine. No way to run a hotel. I will never stay at a mariottt hotel again. If you want decent service and polite staff neither should you. All I expected was a simple apology Worst hotel experience of my life.

Poor Amenities

Nice hotel close to Chicago-Midway airport however room was not restocked with coffee, tea or cups for drinking. Additionally, toilet paper was not replaced from prior guests stay.

Weekend Fun in Chicago!!

Overall the hotel was great and we had a great time! there's also the TGIF restaurant very close by which is awesome! the only feedback I can provide was the internet was initially with fee, however if you know how to negotiate they will provide you a free one with an access code which should not be the case. If my friend did not tell me I will paying the internet on our 3 day stay. My advice, if you're a tourist and plan to go downtown Chicago, it might be better to stay downtown - hotel is quite pricey but it's worth it as everything is around the area. Drive from Marriott to downtown is about 30 minutes. I wish the hotel has a shuttle to drive their clients downtown even just for one schedule a day then it should be okay.

Excellent but beware

The hotel is excellent, but when I booked the hotel there was nothing saying that parking at the hotel would be $17 a day, ridiculous. We ordered breakfast to be brought to our room and the hash browns were raw. The following day I heard the person in the next room complaining about the breakfast. As long as you do not have a rental or eat breakfast you will enjoy it.

Housekeeping needing some checking up on

He hotel staff was very courteous, the front desk staff was great, polite and very helpful! The housekeepers did not clean our room at all! They made the bed and brought fresh towels but our bathroom was not cleaned, there was still hair in tub and on bathroom floor! They didn't even take out the dirty glasses or an empty beer can from the night before! Very disappointing!
