We had a great stay. They checked us in 3 hours early. Hotel is old and a little dated but the ambiance far out weighs the cons. You can tell this hotel was a stunner back in the day. Very convenient and a great price.

I loved that it was right downtown and everything was walking distance. We were located near 'the bean'/ Rooms were small, but nice. Rooms stayed nice & cool and if you needed anything from housekeeping, there came right up! We were also allowed to check in at 12:30pm. Overall, a great experience!

I stayed here to avoid a 3-day commute on the local Chicago transit. What a mistake. Nasty, post-COVID staff who want everything from my passport to prove I am who I am (who else would stay here at these prices?) and then a credit card EVEN THOUGH THEY CHARGED ME FOR A NIGHT AHEAD OF TIME when the site said they would not. Rude, awful, nasty people. I can get that at a Motel 6 and not spend $400 a night. The Lake View suite does look over the Lake but I asked for a low floor and was placed nearly at the top floor, right next to the elevator. For those not familiar with Chicago, this hotel is also right on Michigan Ave, so you will hear ambulance sirens, shouting from the sidewalk (yep, sound travels straight up the building) and any kind of police activity that is happening outside. Proceed with caution.

My Expedia reservation did not make it into the hotel’s system and they were sold out. Yet with a line of fixity or more people the manager took my case aside and found my reservation and gave us the room we had wanted.

Stayed one night to attend concert at Solider Field which was walkable. My daughter and I felt very safe. Check in was long but not the fault of staff lots of Swifties lots all trying to check in at the same time .But everyone was in good spirits and patient (staff directing guests as well as guests) which made the experience pleasant.

We missed the first part of the Taylor Swift concert (where we spent hundreds of dollars on) because we had to stand in line to check in for almost 3 hours! Staff was not helpful. When I went to park at the garage I was told my an employee used profanity towards me for asking him a question!!!!! Will never stay again.
