Not worth the price

I paid $400 for a 2 night stay. Breakfast was not complimentary, the restaurant was only open for breakfast and dinner and their menu was very limited (not a lot choices & they ran out of chicken which is in most of their foods). Would not go back for that price.

Newly renovated Courtyard in Deerfield/Northbrook

Very nice newly renovated hotel convenient to shopping and dining options in Northbrook/Deerfield area. Rooms are nicely appointed and very clean and comfortable. The only improvement could be a larger vanity area; very small for more than 1 person. Quick, easy check-in and very friendly, helpful personnel. An added bonus was the bar/restaurant off the front lobby; great for an evening cocktail and morning Starbucks coffee. Prices are a bit high but is made up for the convenience. We previously stayed here 2 years ago and the accommodations were only adequate. The new renovations greatly improved the property and I'd suggest to anyone staying here previously to give it another try, we will be back when visiting the family in the area again.

I've stayed here several times, always with excellent results. This time - not so much. While every other part of the stay was at or above expectations, the TV service was not. How crazy is that! it was very cold and snowy the Sunday night of my stay and low and behold, the satellite reception was out. For several hours. Note, I have family in the neighborhood of the hotel who also have DirecTV, who had no such outage. Therefore, when I'm told there's nothing they can do, I know that's not true. I know the problem is the dish has snow on it and is blocking the reception. My guess is the maintenance person who would clear the dish was driving the snow plow in the parking lot . . . very audible, for a few hours. The world did not end. I get it. But when you're the official hotel of the NFL and a guest has to sit in the lounge with loud, inebriated people in order to watch a game on the cable (vs. the satellite that serves the rooms), its a problem.

Stunning how kind and decent hotel staff were - all of them, everyone! The reviews I read made it seem like a gem of a hotel and great staff, and the reviews were right.
