Great location

We enjoyed the close proximity to everything that this hotel provides. The age of the building gives it both character and interest. There isn't really a drawback to staying here if you aren't expecting extravagance. It was clean, safe and friendly for our family.

Perfect for a night in Chicago

Pros: Location is excellent, staff is pretty good. Also the breakfast is quite decent.
Cons: The room we got was next to the elevator and there was a linen cupboard adjacent which led to some unwanted noise. Nothing too bad but would have been better off bit farther down the hall. Room with a view is a misnomer - the only view we had was the office building on the other side of the street.
Location: Close to Union Station (the reason I chose it), restaurants, Navy Pier and lots of other things - especially if you are in for a show at the Majestic

Great Deal, Great Spot

Close to many major attractions and public transit. Hotel staff was super helpful and attentive. Safe, clean, and comfortable.

Train traveller

I travelled to 5 US cities by train between August 19th to September 7th. This was my stop in Chicago. I will be happy to return to the Hampton.

Party central

The first 2 nights were great. Our last night however was horrible. A VERY loud party ensued on Monday morning at 3 am either next to us or above us. Loud music. Women shrieking. Some guy named Marco was very popular in the 5 am hour. Admittedly, I didn't call till close to 6 trying not to further disturb my hubby. When I called the desk, a young lady took down the info but nothing happened. I went down in person a while later and the young man at the desk came back to my room so he could hear it for himself. Magically the noise stopped by around 7 am. The hotel did comp our last night. I should have reported the problem earlier.

The staff members at the front desk were very nice and helpful. This was a great hotel for the room size and location. I will stay here again.
