DePaul Visit

Posted Jul 19, 2017
Pros: I like the cleanliness and art.
Cons: Our room's restroom did not have an exhaust fan, nor any way to open a window for ventilation of moisture or odor. Super fogged up after bathing.
Location: It is close to the beach. Lots of shops and stores nearby. Around the corner parking is expensive.
This is a very nicely renovated facility. It does not accommodate any site dining facilities. The staff was pleasant and responsive to our needs.

For future reference you can always request a specific room type for the window in the bathroom. Glad you enjoyed the art and the neighborhood. Always fun. Please come visit again. Thank you.

In Lincoln Park north of downtown but along Clark

Posted Jul 19, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom
Location: Near restaurants, bar, bus line, Lincoln Park and lake
The Lobby picture makes look much more swank that it really is. There are very little amenities-no bar, restaurant etc. but its all around the hotel. The room was fine but the bath was very tired!

The newly renovated Versey Hotel

Posted Jul 19, 2017
Pros: The Chicago themed décor throughout the hotel. The whole place is completely redone, giving it that whole new hotel feel. The beds are comfortable.
Cons: Better pillows and more work needed on the elevator operation.
Location: Close to Wrigley Field. Plenty to do in this neighborhood, restaurants, shopping , Lincoln Park Zoo and much more.
We booked this reservation when this was still the Days Inn Chicago. I knew that renovations were underway when I booked the room. We were excited to see the whole change as we checked in to the hotel. We never stayed at the old Days Inn, though came close several times. The new decorating in the lobby and entrance is so refreshing and so Chicago. Wonderful staff throughout the hotel. The rooms are remodeled and nicely decorated. The beds are also very comfortable. Great shower and clean nice bathroom.

Four July days in Chicago.

Posted Jul 17, 2017
The hotel is in a good neighborhood not far from the Lake and a train station. There are lots of restaurants and stores in the area and it's 3 miles north of downtown and 1 mile south of wrigley field.

Perfection in Licoln Park

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff!
Location: Wonderful shops and restaurants nearby.Loved Aje' Cafe' for healthy breakfast
Amazing staff, wonderful shops and restaurants nearby. The only thing better could have been the Cardinals in town and sweeping he Cubs in a three game series!

Thanks for staying with us. We discontinued the continental breakfast back in January. Depending on the room type whether or not microwave and refrigerator. Sorry to hear about the TV. I am sure we talked and we fixed the issue. Please come visit again. Thank you.

Not what we booked/Expected

Posted Jul 11, 2017
I booked quite a bit before arriving at the Days Inn and have stayed there before. Used to have coffee, breakfast and more reasonable room rates. Now they put up a few pieces of art, painted the walls and call themselves a boutique hotel. Higher rates, no coffee in lobby, no breakfast. Elevator out of service for all three nights we were there. I have stayed in worse hotels, but this was quite disappointing due to the above.

Needs improvement

Posted Jul 11, 2017
Pros: see above
Cons: see above
Location: good restaurants, zoo, shopping
Nice location. Very clean and comfortable room. The price was good. Cleaning staff were especially nice and kept our room tidy. Desk clerks were okay except one young man on the Thursday afternoon shift was borderline rude and snobby when we asked questions. We are from the suburbs of Philadelphia and are not use to city life and don't know Chicago well. The elevator was broken throughout our three night stay and it was difficult hauling our luggage up the narrow stairwell. Fresh coffee in the lobby would be a nice touch even though a donut shop is right next door (expensive though). The valet parking banged our car's back fender and we didn't realize it as we were hurrying packing up our car. I'm miffed after tipping them so many times. It would have been nice for one of them to tell us about the damaged fender. Honesty is always appreciated.
