My first time visiting Chicago and i actually meant to select the Royal Sonesta downtown i didnt know there were two locations however the river north location was great! The location was very convenient i didn’t have to uber much. The room was great. They let me do a courtesy late check out and i paid for an additional hour. I definitely recommend!

This the 3rd Sonesta we tried in Chicago for a couple weekend getaway. We had a great experience, the staff was very helpful the room was very clean and everything worked. The furniture did not show any major wear. This location is very convenient to the subway, restaurants and shopping. We will stay again.

So I booked a room at the Hilton but ended up here ! And I must say I loved it !!!! Pool on the 17th floor beautiful view ! My room was on the 15th floor , another beautiful view !!! Besides the ambulance noise (out of their control ) rate this property a 10/10 !! Front desk staff was amazing, they periodically texted to asked if I needed anything and with every request they responded promptly!! Good job Sonesta

Overall, this hotel has very little extra but is in a great location.
No coffee maker or refrigerator in room…you have to walk downstairs for mediocre coffee. Our room looked clean but we found a pair of earrings in two different places on the floors so not sure about vacuuming. Two towels for two people and we had to ask for wash cloths.
$100 a day added for incidentals but aside from bathrobes that weren’t soft and comfy, I’m not sure what the fee was for? We did get it back at checkout.
On the plus side, we could walk to everything we wanted to do. It felt safe in the immediate area even at night . Lots of good restaurants nearby.
Staff was mostly friendly. Over all 3.5 stars. Would Look for another hotel in the same area next time.

I've stayed at the property multiple times and each and every time is a joy. The staff are overly friendly as well as the valet staff. The bar and resurant is so good and such a vibe during after hours.
The only thing I would suggest they do is have some type of parking arrangements that go along with the hotel that way each and every time you dont have to pay $57-$68 each time you need your car. Other than that the hotel is very kid friendly, dog friendly and a nice ambiance environment.

This place was very fancy, their pool area is so relaxing and well kept. Beds are comfy and rooms have plenty of space. Great door greeters and good valet. Response time is also great

The customer service at the front desk and in the dining room was very poor. The body wash in the shower smelled like sewage. The room overall was large and we liked the floor to ceiling windows. The bar staff was attentive & friendly.
We would not stay again.

It's a nice place, conveniently located and friendly staff. The WiFi was very spotty until they fixed it for the duration of our stay. Hot water was also intermittent, alternating between hot and cold in the mornings. Overall it's still a nice place to stay.

Be aware there is no parking of any kind at this hotel. There is self paid parking within walking distance but this was not very clear. Also, really wish there was a coffee pot in the room. Free bottled water in the room daily was nice, the bed was comfortable, loved the spa tub, restaurant and bar were great.
