Great price but...

Posted Nov 30, 2016
Pros: I liked that the hotel was centrally located to the family I was visiting and to a lot of great shopping places!
Cons: The carpet throughout the hotel (Including the rooms), in the exercise room, the bathroom was out of service, and there were no towels and no water.
Location: There are a lot of great shopping places! The Lincoln Mall is right down the street as well as Burlington, Target, and too many food places to name!
The hotel was ideally located to where the family we were visiting lived - which was one of the reasons that I picked this hotel; well, that and the price! However, the hotel needs a lot of upgrading! The staircases smelled like dirty socks and cigarettes, the room we were given had stains on the carpet, and I had to ask for fresh towels...twice. Which, was partly my fault because I told the staff that we did not want any housekeeping service during our 3-day stay. However, I did specifically state that we would like to have our towels refreshed. Overall it was 'meh'. But, you get what you pay for...on the positive, the beds were super comfortable - small, but very comfortable! The shower worked excellently (the fan in the bathroom is super noisy, but hey - you will have a great shower!), the blow dryer didn't really work at all, and the t.v. had cable! Plus, the wifi was free and parking was a breeze! Just make sure you park in the front because the back doors does not allow you to get back in with your key! Oh, and speaking of keys, my room key stopped working after the first night so they had to reactivate it, twice! But, the staff was very helpful and nice!

Under new management and it sucks.

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: The location
Cons: The service and non cleanliness.
Location: Near I-57. Mall and shopping strip within 1mile. Lots of places to eat nearby.
I had a bad experience at the hotel. I booked thru Expedia and left a note requesting a handicap accesible room. This hotel is in need of an update. They only have 1 bedroom that has a single bed. That would not accommodate my family and I. All they could do is blame it on Expedia for false advertisement. Then when I got to the room and checked the beds, the bedding in both beds were horrible. The one bed had a big black streak on it. Plus the sheets were not clean. The other bed, the sheets were full of hair. Not 1-2 strands, it was full of short hair. I asked for new bedding for both and the guy had to make 3 trips to my room and brought the bedding to me to make up the bed. He even got frustrated with me because I refused to make the bed and he did not come to the room with all of the bedding. I later spoke with the owner the next day and he could only make the excuse that the guy is new but I should have talked to him then. It should not matter if I talked to him that night or the next day. I still brought it to his attention. Service all around bad except for the young ladies that worked the front desk. They were very polite and helpful. Breakfast is not all of what it seem to be. They only had waffles, toast, boiled eggs, cherrios, and muffins. That's more of a continental breakfast that they serve.

Last Minute Stay Before Homeless

Posted Sep 16, 2016
Pros: The staff and the bed.
Cons: The hotel could use a major upgrade to the overall look and logistics of the hotel. It needs to be more inviting.
Location: I was only there overnight. i did not get a chance to see what was around. I did see several banks and restaurants on the way to the front of thr hote
I did get a good night sleep. I had been moving out of a 2 bedroom apartment and into a 10 x 10 storage unit for the past 2 days with no truck and 1 other person. Exhaustion was at an optimal level and I just needed to sleep. The staff was friendly and quite helpful. The hotel lobby was okay. Not inviting, but okay. The carpet was horrible; stained, smelly and rough. The bed was soft and cool. The walls were in need of paint and patchwork. If you just need sleep, this is adequate. If you want comfort, this is not the hotel.

Reasonable Prices

Posted Aug 18, 2016
This hotel was booked on the same day and the deal was really great. We stayed in Matteson because we were going to the Wiz Khalifa concert in Tinley Park! Didn't make it to the continental breakfast but the housekeeping staff is very prompt and front desk agents were helpful and pleasant

Nice hotel, disappointed that there was no pool

Posted Aug 17, 2016
Pros: It was an easy access to the major highways.
Cons: Your continental breakfast and help
Location: Eating places and easy access to highways
The front desk staff were very helpful. You need more help in the continental breakfast area. Had to wait for food and syrup. Staff seemed stressed out about the job. Was helpful to some guests and seemed to brush off other guests. The over all hotel was nice and well kept up. Sometimes it was hard to find a parking place, especially when the truckers stayed and parked long ways in the spots.
