The Snow and Ice WeekendPosted Nov 24, 2015
Pros: Bright and warm lobby, elevators and room
Cons: The TV picture was not sharp, but it was not really an issue.
Location: We liked the proximity to Midway Airport. The roads and sidewalks were very icy so we didn't venture out locally.
The hotel was a nice place to spend the night after a long day traveling through snow and icy conditions in Chicago. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of lights and toiletries. Our breakfast experience was fabulous and the staff was polite, courteous and helpful.

Worth the money!Posted Nov 22, 2015
Cons: Bathrooms could be updated
Location: Close to airport, small mall, Walmart, Target, etc.
I had a good experience at this hotel, they let me check in almost 3 1/2 hours early. The room was clean, I checked th sheets and they were in good shape. The bathroom tub was a little old and had some problem with the drainage, but overall the room was fine. They had a great selection for breakfast, they served hot (waffles, pancakes, bacon, eggs, biscuits, gravy, etc. and cold food. The shuttle to the airport ran every 30 mins and I was there on time without a hitch. I would stay there if I ever visited Chicago again. Hopes this helps. I was almost turned off by the other reviews, but I'm glad I stayed.

Easy to use public transportationPosted Nov 11, 2015
Pros: see above
Cons: expanded food availability and fresher breads at breakfast
Location: took Orange Line downtown to museums. Hotel van took me to the airport to catch the train into town. Easy and not expensive both directions.
I was very early arriving, and the hotel let me check in at 10 AM at no extra charge. All personnel were helpful and knowldegable. Nice clean room with what looked like new bedding.

DurchschnittPosted Oct 26, 2015

When requesting pickup from airport, we were told the shuttle would be there in 8 minutes. We stood outside in the cold to wait. 52 minutes later the shuttle arrived. The driver didn't say one word as he got our luggage and drove us to hotel. The restaurant in hotel is only open for breakfasts:( hotel is dated.

It was very close to everything!Posted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: My room and the staff.
Cons: Everything is good.
Location: There's a Amc theatres, best buy, costco tootsie roll factory, walmart, target, home depot, White castle, giordano's. Everything is on the same road.
This hotel was very close to everything I needed. I love the transit system, it ran every 15 to 20 mins for buses and trains. Theirs a shuttle to and from midway airport and that was awesome, everyone was very helpful and respectful. Even the hotel staff was incredible. My room was so comfortable, hated to leave the room at all. Pizza was great as well. Clarion out did themselves especially in the cleanliness of the hotel. I will be back!

Not worth the money, expected betterPosted Oct 7, 2015
We reserved a non smoking room, when we got up to our room it had clearly been a smoking room is t smelled horrible. We called and told them the issue and they said they would send someone up with a new key to a new room. We sat in the hall for 10 minutes and waited for someone to come up. Our new room smelled mildewy, but since it was already almost 10 and we had to be up at 3 for a flight we sucked it up and stayed. The bathtub floor was warped and made noises and went up and down when you moved around in the shower. I would never stay here again.

No way this should be a 3 star rated hotelPosted Oct 1, 2015
Pros: The staff - the were very helpful and nice.
Cons: Name it - it could all be improved. They could start with putting an honest pictures on Expedia. The place needs a lot of work to reach 3 star status.
Location: It is blessedly close to the airport and there are lots of stores and chain restaurants nearby. Costco, Target, Applebees etc all are very close
I was appalled when we pulled up in front of this hotel. It looked seedy and the signs warning that if you saw illegal activity to call 911 and no loitering taped to the wall didn't help. The lobby was not any better with cheap mismatched furniture. The staff were excellent - polite and extremely helpful. The room, once again was rundown with old cheap furnishings, but it was clean. I would not recommend the place to a friend and I will not be back. I do not know how this hotel has a three star rating on Expedia - I would just barely give it a 2.
