Hotel near EvanstonPosted Aug 28, 2015
Carpet in room was disgusting. The room looks original to 1960. Ancient television with poor reception. No nightstand on one side of bed.

Hotel in DeclinePosted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: They have a good buffet breakfast.
Location: The location is handy to activities in Skokie, Evanston and north Chicago.
This motel is in a state of decline. The overall appearance is poor and it needs a good cleaning in all public areas. The outside public areas were very dirty with much trash. There was broken glass along the walk ways. The room was fair but could have been cleaned better. There was no any shampoo or conditioner in the bath. The front desk said they had run out and were expecting a shipment. The pool is ok but the hot tub was way too HOT.

Older hotel, but good value for the pricePosted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: The staff and the breakfast.
Cons: The air conditioner, and the dingy carpet in the hallway.
The staff were very efficient and friendly. The breakfast (included) was excellent. The only problem was with the air conditioner. It kept switching on and off, and was very noisy. The location was good, just a short drive to the CTA station. Unfortunately, the yellow line wasn't running this summer, which meant we had to take a (free) shuttle bus to the red line to get to downtown Chicago. It added an extra 20 minutes to the trip. If you're looking for a fancy hotel don't come here, but we were satisfied with our stay.

Convenient locationPosted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: The location was good for shopping and other activities in the area.
Cons: Security for the parking lot. Some cars were damaged by vandals.
Location: Old Orchard shopping mall, Skokie Performing Arts Center, not far from Northwestern University and Evanston beaches.
The room was clean and the building was well maintained.

Pros: Staff was friendly and welcoming.
Balconies were innondated with pigeon excrement. First room, patio door didn't lock...it was a non-smoking room, yet it had cigarette burns in the comforter. The staff was friendly and quickly switch us into another room. Second room was better. This hotel looks like it is older and is in need of updating.
