Will be back again

Posted Aug 21, 2016
We reserved the two bedroom suite. It was nice and clean, updated. There were 3 tvs. Small kitchen has the basic needs you need :) two nice bathrooms. There were 8 of us and fit us all! The sofa is pull out bed. Free breakfast was good! Also, they have evening social where they offer light meal - varies everyday. The day we were there, it was salad and soup . Close to restaurants and attractions! Will go back there again!

Not great.

Posted Aug 9, 2016
Pros: Good suites for larger families.
Cons: I don't know how much control a hotel has over their clientele. I guess just enforce the rules about not smoking.
Location: Everything around this area is within a 20 minute drive.
Check-in was listed for 3PM; however, we were not able to check-in until after 5PM. Cory the desk clerk was very kind and gave us some drinks and snacks, but that doesn't change the fact that we sat there for like an hour and a half sitting in the lounge. The facilities are non-smoking, but people were smoking all over the place: the stairs, the parking lots, walkways. This may not sound like a big deal since it's not in the rooms, but our "neighbors" kept smoking outside our room (or maybe their own bathroom) and it drifted into our own bathroom unless we ran the fan constantly (which meant keeping the bathroom light on as well.) If you have people staying in a room above you, brace yourself because you'll feel like you're in a drum, especially if they decided to start running around at 5:30 in the morning. I would have thought they would use concrete floors. All in all, I get that it's an extended stay property, but it felt more like an apartment complex: lawn chairs sitting outside rooms, people smoking, signs hanging up in windows, random loitering, strange characters, people talking on the phone outside rooms at 2 AM, that kind of stuff. Positives: If you need a multiple room suite with a kitchen and sitting area, this is one of the few places that has them. The outdoor pool is nice, as is the basketball court. The breakfast is good.

Thank you for your comments... I'm so very sorry that we could not get you checked into your room in a timely manner... No excuses. As for the "smoking" we have designated smoking areas around the property, but with a campus style layout- it is very difficult to police all of our guests. We do our best to accommodate. I appreciate all of your comments- we strive to get better and better with feedback such as yours.

Best home substitute

Posted Jul 22, 2016
Pros: Everything from rooms to evening socials on certain days
Cons: Breakfast variety can be better for such a pleasant hotel
Location: Chicago, Indiana dunes challenge
Best hotel we have ever stayed in our road trip by a long shot. The room layout for our 7 person group was elegant and spacious. The bedrooms each had their own bath and layout just made the whole place look bigger than it was. Nicely done. Going forward this will be our first choice hotel suites before we consider any other suite based hotels

Our stay was great, The 3rd shift person that checked us in was the nicest person we have met in a long time. She was very friendly, helpful and sweet. The room was very clean and the grounds were beautiful. Will stay again the next time in the area.

Wonderful Place

Pros: It's up to date
Cons: The chair was not comfortable. I would suggest to change all the chairs to adjustable. Breakfast too far from suite.
Location: Nice neighborhood. Very quiet.
I love suites and I have been sleeping in Residence Inn for few years but this came out to be better and newer as I am in love with technology. If you love updated hotels, this is #1. Highly recommended. I don't think I am settling for any other asides this.
