Nice hotel. Perfect location

Posted Aug 31, 2015
We stayed here on a Saturday and would definitely go back. The hotel was the perfect mid point between Michigan ave shopping/restaurants and millennium parks sight seeing. We were able to walk everywhere we chose to go which was perfect since we übered there from home. But absolutely nothing compared to the comfort of those beds....we felt like were sleeping on a cloud! Would recommend!

Overall experience was quite good...exceeded expectations. After booking this hotel I read posted comments and began to second guess my decision because statements were made about the staff's smug attitudes and comfort of bed...both of these negatives were squashed once I arrived. The front desk was pleasant (but not over the top), concierge was helpful, doormen were courteous, great location close to everything, great views, and the bed was perfect! Just book it and ignore the negative comments you see...some people just like to be whiners.

Very nice hotel!

Pros: The view from our room was awesome. The elevators were very fast. Location was perfect. The beds were very amazing with down comforters.
Cons: Hotel lobby has Wi-Fi but you must pay for Wi-Fi in your room. For the cost of the hotel room it should be included.
Location: The hotel is located within walking distance to many area attractions including: Millennium Park, Grant Park, Navy Pier, Boat sights.
Check-in took awhile, not enough staff working. We opted out of housekeeping during our three day stay but housekeeping made sure to call us every day to see if there was anything we needed. If you drive to this hotel trying to get to a parking garage is quite a challenge and VERY EXPENSIVE! Finally found a reasonable parking garage a block away. The hotel has valet parking but charge an insane price to park your car. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant as a glass of orange juice was $6.00.

Location: It's downtown Chicago. Everything is nearby!
Our overall experience was great. The location is fabulous and I doubt there is a room in the entire hotel with a crappy view. There was a brief hiccup in that we walked into our hotel room and the bed was still dirty from the last guest. We called down to the front desk and a couple minutes later we were given keys to our new room which I am pretty sure was an upgrade. Though we had to call again because the key would not work, I would still call this a great experience. The room was beautiful and I appreciated the extra amenities which were missing from the other Chicago hotel room we stayed in the night before. Updated room and hotel, pleasant staff. I would stay here again!

Loved the location!

Pros: Location!
Cons: The beautiful hanging glass art in the lobby was in need of cleaning. Looked very hazy/dusty.
Location: Perfect. To the north was the Magnificent Mile of shopping, to the east was the L train, to the west was Navy Pier, and to the south was museums
Upgraded room to one with view of Navy Pier. It was well worth it!

Nice hotel with great views

Either a lake view or river view is great. The higher the floor the better. Great location with easy access to a lot of sites. There is a wifi daily charge and you gotta pay to use the computer in the lobby. But very nice and clean place overall.

Disappointing

Posted Aug 12, 2015
Waited 45 minutes to check in which I find unacceptable. No excuse for not enough staff available to attend to quantity of customers needing assistance -- sign of poor management. After 45 minute wait (and 1 hour after scheduled check in time), was told my room was not yet available and it would be a while until it was available. After a tiring day of travel, a very tight schedule for a one night stay not only made for a very unpleasant first impression, but also had a huge negative impact on my overall travel plans. Again, this is unacceptable and a sign of poor management. Have stayed at this location numerous times in the past and returned because stood out as a comfortable, well run establishment. After this stay I would definitely hesitate before booking a room here in the future. Too many other good choices out there in the Loop area to settle for this type of service.

Great downtown stay

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: View, quiet, comfortable bed, staff
Location: Within walking distance of much fun
We had a great stay. Amazing view from our corner room. Some trash left in bathroom and left over soap in shampoo in shower, but bathroom was clean. Very quiet, convenient location, very friendly helpful staff.
