Quaint Hotel, close to Wrigley Field

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Bldg preservation
Location: Restaurants,Wrigley Field, Marina
Beautiful old Chicago apt bldg. turned Botique Hotel is on a beautiful tree lined residential street within walking distance to Wrigley Field. the staff was amazing ! Very helpful, as was our experience with most Chicago residents. From the neighborhood regulars walking their dogs, to the Cub fans all around , these BRAVES fans had a great time....even though our Braves lost 😔

Perfect place to stay near Wrigley Field

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: We enjoyed everything about this hotel. From the minute we walked in they did nothing but go out of their way to help us.
Cons: Nothing
Location: It is very convenient to Wrigley Field and Lakeshore Drive. Also easy to get a cab or the Red Line commuter train.
We nada a quick trip to Chicago from Texas to see my husband's favorite team - the Cubs. Since the game was at night we wanted to stay at a hotel we could walk to after the game. We made a perfect choice. Not only was it convenient but the staff was wonderful and very helpful.it was a cozy hotel and the breakfast was just what we needed before we started out for the day.

Great Hotel Within Walking Distance to Wrigley

Posted Aug 19, 2015
The Majestic is a nice place, with some old school charm and character. The staff was great, the location too. Within walking distance to the friendly confines of Wrigley Field, the lake, park, etc. Also a couple blocks to restaurants, grocery store, etc. The Redline station is only a few minutes on foot as well. Very convenient. We will stay there again.

The hotel is well located and that's about all I can say positive. It's not horrible but it needs an update desperately. It is dingy and worn, musty and old. The air conditioning unit was the noisiest one I can remember and it blew straight on to the bed.

This is a 2 star hotel that claims it's a 3 star.

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: Staff are really friendly--in fact, overly friendly.
Cons: A complete renovation to justify its room prices.
Location: Excellent if you want to be next to Lincoln Park.
If this hotel was downgraded to a 2 star from a 3 star and cut its room prices in half then it would be ok. However, the rooms are dirty and outdated to say the least. The hotel was an old women's dormitory and has not been upgraded for decades. Hotel staff are friendly but not friendly enough to justify such high room prices that comes with filthy rooms. It's better and cheeper to say in downtown Chicago and commute to Lincoln Park. Seriously consider thinking twice before staying here--unless of course you want to pay high room rates for filthy rooms. Parking costs and extra $22/night.

The Majestic is a gem buried in East Lakeview. Close to public transportation (the Red Line, but also buses, including express buses that offer quick and convenient ways to get downtown), the hotel is perfect for the discriminating traveler. Its location also positions it close to a vibrant neighborhood, with lots of restaurants and bars, without attracting a lot of noise. The price was extremely reasonable, the room was comfortable, and I would stay there again.

A botique hotel for old fashioned

Posted Jul 16, 2015
The hotel needs to be renewed. The windows are not isolated and at least I had no confort as my room was exactally in front of the reception (Durham) and I could hear all the time the phone! Internet was free but too slow! The breakfast was just ok!

Everything was good. The staff was polite. We had a problem with our air conditioner and they came right up to help! Would stay here again.
