Pros: Staff was great
Cons: Bad information about parking
Location: Right downtown. Easy cab to museums, Navy Pier etc
Convenient to main attractions with short cab ride.

Close to Amtrak, has a full-service gym, classic bar, and comfortable beds. I'll never stay anywhere else again in Chicago. Just perfect!

Pros: Lovely historic hotel centrally located. Old glamour photos of iconic artists who performed at the Empire Room in the hey-day. Jazz music happy hour
Cons: Inefficient air conditioning in upgraded room. Room temperature never below low 70s and noticeably warmer than hallway. Also musty mildew odor.
Location: Close to public transportation, Millenium Park, Art Institute of Chicago.
Early arrival for business convention to explore with music-loving, foodie nephew. Appreciated the early check in opportunity at 8 a.m. Upgrade with complimentary beverage tickets worthwhile. Check in process was warm and welcoming. Check out process not so much . . . clerk seemed annoyed that I requested a paper zero-balance statement to review. Upon finding an unwarranted charge for internet service (I am an HHonors member), the clerk attempted to assign blame to me while, at the same time, appearing to be gracious in eliminating the charge. But, the clerk did not immediately provide a revised paper statement; I had to request it to his clear annoyance. Too bad he made the final impression upon my experience.

Too few elevators for our floor. Lots of waiting to get to lobby. Concierge very helpful
