The location and continental breakfast is good. The mattress sagged and needs replacement, but the accommodations are suitable and affordable.

Beautiful old Victorian Guest House. Was convenient to bars, clubs and restaurants on Halstead Street.

The host was very helpful with recommendations. Breakfast had plenty of options. One night it was noisy into the early morning because of a neighbor's party. Had to park on the street but was provided with parking permits.

You get what you pay for! Not luxurious, but convenientPosted Sep 28, 2015 on Hotels
My room was a little dingy--I had one of the lower rooms with a separate entrance, almost in a half-basement--but the location was convenient & the price was right. When I tried to go into the main house for breakfast in the morning, one of the two days I was not able to get in w/ my room key (the other day, some other guests who were sitting there opened the door.) It could have been better explained how to access the breakfast area.

One of the best price/quality options for your stay in Chicago. Great neighbourhood with lots of (rather expensive) restaurants and bars. Supermarket around the corner. Metro station at 10 minutes walking distance. The Villa Toscana is a charming old house with nice garden and verandah. Rooms are a bit small and stuffy, with no view or possibility to open windows in the bottom rooms, although the owner unscrewed one of the closed windows for us to let in a bit of fresh air. Good bathroom with nice shower. Breakfast is in the living room/kitchen. Lots of options but all very American, eg bagles, muffins and cerials. Owners/caretakers are not present most of the time so you have the place to yourself or shared with other guests.

Camera piccolina( secondo gli standard americani), ma personalizzata. A noi è piaciuta. Gentile e disponibile il proprietario, buona posizione a 10 minuti a piedi dalla red line, in un quartiere molto tranquillo. Sala comune a disposizione per la colazione con prodotti confezionati, frutta fresca, succo, caffè, the etc.
