I appreciated the fast check-in. I received a link via a text or email, and I was able to take a picture of my identification. What I did not enjoy was that the shower nozzle broke off when I was about to take a shower for dinner. I had to go to dinner without showering because the engineer had to go find a new part. We returned from dinner hoping the engineer would be able to come back to replace the part but no one was available at 11pm so we had to change rooms. They only good part was that they moved us to a much bigger room. However, I was hoping we could do a late check-out as it was mentioned during check-in. They said that because I was a gold member with Expedia, I could take advantage of the benefit free of charge, but when I actually asked for it they rejected it.

It was excellent value for what we paid. The hotel is only a short walk from the subway making it very easy to get around Chicago.

It’s a really beautiful space, absolutely fabulous decor inside the rooms. Gorgeous. I would give it more stars easily, if not for a couple appliances that didn’t work, touchy lighting and a stubborn toilet. Staff was polite when seen. Nice and quiet, just really wish the room fridge was functional as I had a multi night stay for work and a special diet.

This hotel has everything you need and nothing that you don't---very good for my business trip. Room was clean. Hotel was quiet and felt safe. Affable and helpful staff. Chicago metro and a 24-hour drug store are each about 2 blocks away. Gym is small but competent. Room TV sometimes lost sound if it was on for too long, but power cycling fixed it. Bathroom fan also seemed to have a long delay (~10 minutes) coming on. Likely because of the building's age, electric outlets are designed to be hidden; but, if you bring a 10' charging cable, you'll be fine. Overall, would definitely stay again---particularly given the price.

A very nice hundred year old hotel Very nice location. Walkable to 360. Smaller rooms and a bit out of date To be honest my biggest complaint is that the bedside lamps have not been upgraded to have power sockets

Great location!!! Front desk staff is EXCELLENT. Rooms are worn down. And 200 per night you shouldn’t need to request housekeeping should be offered like any hotel with that rate.

Fabulous! Best value in Chicago. Easy overnight parking for $35 a night. Close to everything you wanna see near WaterTower Place. And super comfortable bed. Alex the bellhop/valet and Aja the desk clerk are repeat favorites.

This was my second time staying at the WhiteHall and I can say my first stay was way better than this time. Between the back and forward with the parking garage people about my parking already being paid for to the front desk staff not assuring all my VIP discounts where applied to my reservation correctly I’m questioning if I’ll stay again in the future.

The front desk staff was super nice, really helpful. The hotel is on a quiet street but only half a block from Michigan Ave’s world class shops. Parking is convenient right across the street. Shower was a bit funky but otherwise all else was fine. It’s a nice boutique hotel. My go to place from now on in Chicago.

We always stay at the Whitehall when we go in for Bulls games. We are familiar with it, how to get in and out of the area and where the parking is located. It just works for us. It's small and older but the people are super nice, the rooms are clean, and we feel safe there. It will always be our go to.
