Great Lincoln Park location

Pros: Location, Continental Breakfast
Location: Lots of restaurants, shopping all in walking distance. Train station to downtown was a 10 minute walk.
Great location! Lovely boutique hotel with first rate customer service staff. Very nice continental breakfast daily and free WiFi. Our room overlooked a parking garage, and was noisy, but wasn't awful. I will definately stay here again when in Chicago.

Pros: Vintage look, nice furnishings, great bed, friendly employees.
Cons: Need to improve water pressure in the shower and had a slow draining sink.
Location: Convenient to Lincoln Park area.
We were looking for a hotel close to our daughter's apartment and still one easily accessible to the downtown area. We liked the vintage look of the Willows and the location. It was comfortable, had friendly employees and was everything we needed. The continental breakfast was pretty basic. And our shower had little water pressure and a slow draining sink.

Misleading website, heater didn't work

Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: Update the rooms, replace the HVAC unit.
The interior of the rooms are dated. Yes, the bed was fine. Yes, the carpet was fine. However, the base boards and balance of the room was dated and a bit rough. The biggest disappointment was that it was 20 degrees outside when we arrived in Chicago and we had a hotel room that fronted the street with two big windows and the room was very cold. It was clear that the heater was turned off because when we got there it was around 50 degrees in our room. We jumped in bed, turned on the heater, and assumed it would be warm within an hour. At 6:00 the next morning (and after a night of restlessness), the room was probably 60 degrees (if that). It was cold. The in-wall heater was in bad shape. You could see dirt and mildew/mold where the air exits the unit. We had a 2 night reservation and left after the first night.

I liked the hotel, but the temperature in my room was at least 85° Fahrenheit. When I turned off the radiators, they stayed hot and made loud gurgling noises. I couldn't sleep. When I asked if anything could be done, I was told to turn on the ceiling fan.

Reasonably Priced Hotel in Great Location

Pros: Great location for my needs.
Cons: Carpet could use some freshening/updating. My room was next to the elevator which created a fair amount of noise when the elevator was operating.
The Willows was a very nice hotel in a great location. Easy walking distance to everything I needed, lots of great food options and very helpful staff. If you like older buildings with city character and charm, this is a great hotel. My room was a bit small, but it was designed with a good use of space and since I was alone, it was comfortable and suitable for a solo traveler.

Pros: Clean and great location.
Cons: Update the bathroom.
The wallpaper in bathroom was falling off. No Ac. We could hear through walls. We have been happy other visits. Don't get room 419.
