Ratio price/quality is completely off scale, even for an hotel located downtown. Heritage... good definition and excuse to not change the carpet and keep the smell out of the rooms. The first night i had to kill a spider that was wondering on my pillows, the remaining three night i only had to deal with the smell coming from the 15 years old carpet... NOT GOING BACK THERE! cleanliness wise it was worse that a new motel 6, very similar to a somehow old motel six. THEY ARE NOT SEEING MY MONEY IN THE FUTURE!

Pros: Location
Cons: No shelving (no room for) in bathroom for toiletries, small rooms, no dresser, no sundries/ newspaper shop, limited restaurant .
Location: Mag Mile
A retro-fitted old hotel, that provides limited services, similar to motels that serve breakfast , but nothing else. Didn't even offer local newspapers for sale. Upon checking in was told Wi-Fi was free. (Missed the part where it was only free in the lobby ,but not the room), so was surprised when charged $10.00 a day, but no biggie. Final bill shoved under door charged for use of the mini-bar ($300+) when we hadn't opened the cabinet. Bottom line, had we been seeking merely a place to sleep nights, there are cheaper facilities next door that offer more services.

Everything was great

Everything was wonderful at the hotel except there was no concessions. I bought a soda at the bar and it was five dollars. A bit ridiculous

Greetings! Thank you for staying with us and for providing feedback. Most of our rooms have minibars for convenience and beverages can be purchased at our bar, but we no longer have a sundries store. There are convenience stores within the vicinity of the hotel as well. We apologize for any inconveniences suffered and hope that you'll return soon.

Historical hotel close to everything

Great hotel in the Heart of Chicago

The only issue I had with the hotel was the bathroom, every time you flushed big noise and rattle would come next... but overall everything is great!

HIdden charge

Pros: proximity to hospital
Cons: Bring new shampoo etc every day.
When I checked in I was told I'd have to pay a $60 fee which would be refunded 2-3 days after check-out. They have a float on my money from the time I checked in until 3 days after I leave. For what valid reason? None. They already have my credit card in case I cause damage. They know I"m already a committed guest due to my reservation, so it's not like I can change my mind when I find out about the fee.

Check in was very smooth, nice staff, room was much larger than expected, plenty of coffee in mornings and will definitely stay again...fantastic location as well.
