Beautiful hotel

Thanks to Expedia I got an amazing rate and this gorgeous hotel and it was nothing shy of fabulous. You can see the skyline off in a distance and it's just enough out of the city that traffic isn't bad at all. I will definitely stay here again for my next visit to Chicago.

No nearby restaurants, hotel restaurant way overpriced, few electrical outlets in the room.

It's 2015 - why is there no wifi in the room?

Pros: Nice layout, decent rooms.
Cons: Offer wifi to guests.
Location: Not much to do around here.
I just don't understand how a hotel like the Westin does not have Wifi available in rooms. When I checked in, I was told that the wifi costs $9.95 for 24 hours. Obviously, this is a ridiculous charge and even the hotel employee checking me in admitted that it was crazy. However, when I got to my room, I couldn't even connect to the network that I was prepared to pay for since I was there on business and had a ton of work to do. I tried on two laptops, an ipad, and my phone. No connection available. Needless to say, do not stay here if you have any desire to use the internet during your stay.

Comfortable but loud guests.

Comfortable room. But our room was next to the elevators and a group of VERY loud people wouldn't leave the chairs set up there. Up until 1 am, when they finally left, even though we called the front desk at 12.15am.

Not as advertised on Expedia

At time of our reservation Expedia's website said two queen bed rom suitable for three adults or could have rollaway added. The beds are double beds. Not suitable for 3 adults. Per staff, Fire Codes prohibit use of rollaway in two bed rooms. Staff would not switch to King Room with rollaway (same price listed) even though had rooms available. Room was prepaid so we were prisoners for 4 days. Stay away from this Westin. Any budget motel would have been more accommodating. Staff took no ownership over content of their own website and misinformation listed there.

Not a 4 1/2 star hotel

I booked this hotel through expedia.com. The criteria I asked for was a 4 plus hotel by the Chicago O’Hare airport. This hotel was not by the airport, a good 45 minutes away and the hotel was a 3 star at best. I was disappointed.

Excellent choice

Pros: clean and comfortable facility, free parking
Cons: Its great for the money
Location: South west of downtown Chicago
This is a great hotel, with a great price, and great staff if you are planning to stay outside of Chicago. Facility is in excellent condition, I love the free self parking.

WATCH OUT FOR WEDDINGS!

This hotel caters to huge wedding parties on the weekends with receptions and loud bands right in the lobby. All fine if you're part of the wedding and ready to party. Not so fine if you just want quiet and a pleasant sleeping experience like we did. When I requested a quiet room at check-in, the attendant said,"Well, that will be difficult considering we have 2 weddings tonight." Whaaaaattt?
