I understand this hotel is currently under renovation as of 08/2016. However there was a broken bottle and glass on the side of the pathway next to the outside door that remained there for the two days of our stay. The tub was probably original to the room and had stains in the tub well. The cable outlet was pulled from the wall but still functional. Also there is no refrigerator in the room.
All in all if there are other hotels in the same vicinity I would go there before re-exploring this location.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. You are right in saying that our hotel is not exactly around the corner from Downtown Chicago, but generally we are a great alternative for those who want to visit the sites, but don’t want to pay the downtown prices. We are conveniently located in between 2 major expressways that makes us ideal for access to Downtown, the Arlington Racetrack, Woodfield Shopping Mall and major attractions like Six Flags and Gurnee Mills Outlet Mall.And of course, we are very conveniently located in between numerous Business Parks for easy access for our Corporate guests.
As I am sure you have noticed, we are undergoing a complete multi-million-dollar renovation of all rooms and all public areas and if all goes according to plan, we should be done in the Fall! We are already selling some of our brand new renovated rooms, and the feedback has been awesome!
We will also be re-doing the exterior areas, and it will all look amazing. But, I agree with you, we can spend millions of dollars, and make everything look great. But if we don't inspect all areas and clean up trash left behind, it is all money wasted. I will work harder on getting that rectified!
In regards to not having refrigerators in our guest rooms, we are in-line with what our competitors offer and once we are done with the renovation, we will have plenty of options for our guests to get a cold beverage or some warm food. We will serve breakfast and dinner in our restaurant and bar, as well as through our room service department. We will also have our guest pantry where you can purchase cold drinks, snacks and sundries. We will continue to have refrigerators available to rent for our guests.
We certainly hope that you will come back and check for yourself how beautiful our hotel is going to be!
