Absolutely beautiful!

Our room had a view of the observatory which was amazing! Also, the food was fresh, good and well priced. I would recommend the cocoanut shrimp for dinner and the bread basket with papaya jam was delicious with breakfast! The staff was very friendly and I would recommend them to friends and family!

True Chichen itza experience!!

Posted Sep 1, 2017
Very kind and caring staff. They were really helpful. We were willing to see the night show but were not really on time. they helped us to get the tickets online in just a few minutes and quickly guider us so we could catch the show. We did catch it and enjoyed it. We didnt have time to eat before the show so they also had the kitchen wait until we come back. We were upgraded to a larger room. Breakfast was delicious. Although we only stayed one night. We were very satisfied. If you are planning to visit chichen itza I truly recommend to spend at least a night here !!

Paradiso Maya

Pros: The views and position
Cons: Wifi in the rooms
Hotel located close to Chichen Itza ruins with own access to maya site. The rooms in the main building have views of the Caracol. There are three pools, two restaurant, a cafè and a shop. I advice to visit the archeological site early in the morning due to the less folks that could instead show up after eleven a.m. The hotel in in the middle of tropical nature and it resembles very much the jungle however it is very neet and clean. The staff is very helpful and always caring for you to have a nice stay.

Poor customer service after room flood at night

Posted Jul 22, 2017 on Hotels
Poor customer service from hotels.com and Mayaland after flood in room in middle of night! Selected for proximity to Chichen Itza, wanting early entrance to site. First impressions were good even if the overall feeling was the place was a little tired and would benefit from a full refurb. It could be spectacular. Our problems started at 1am when we awoke to the sound of water (heavy rain we thought). Decided to get up to look and was surprise to find we were paddling in 1" of water in the bedroom & in bathroom where we discovered a burst pipe. Thankfully no possessions were on floor other than shoes. No phone in room meant we had to dress and walk through grounds to reception. We were then returned to room to pack and given new room. This took approx 50 mins but much longer to get back to sleep. Not good when early alarm set! Dealt on chat with hotels.com and only offer was £20 voucher for future use. Mayaland would not offer any goodwill for disturbed night. Said it was accident and they give us a new room. I don't think language was a barrier they just truly did not believe they had done anything wrong, that our disturbed night was our own fault? Eventually they offered a free drink (not even knocking off those already taken) but of course we were checking out and ready to leave! Be warned! Poor customer service!
