Convenient place to stay in Chico with kids.

Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: Location was good for me, as I wanted to be in North Chico. Close to NVP mall.
Helpful and friendly staff. Pool is clean, but noise as it is right next to highway 99. Hotel is close to the Pour House and NVP mall which was handy when traveling with kids for evening snack or drinks.

NO smoking means no smoking, pretty simple.

Posted Aug 20, 2015
I asked for and paid for a non smoking room but there was obviously smoking in the room at some point . The staff was friendly but they had no other rooms so I was stuck. Looking back, I should have asked for my $ back and tried another hotel, but it was back to school week so there were not a lot of choices. I definitely got ripped off for what I paid. Experience, other than the staff, was terrible.

I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN

Deceptive Advertising on how close pool and spa is to hotel..spa was in drastic need of repair and jets did not work. Pool and Spa was across parking lot and in a dark corner next to street..clerk did not tell us we needed a separate code to gain access and told us to just make sure we bring our room key..after fumbling around in total darkness we finally got in..Also we were not informed that they took a $100 debit from our credit card even though we had paid in advance..free breakfast was bad..wifi internet was bad as well and could not logon..When I complained 1 time front desk clerk would not take our calls anymore

Bad Location; Awful Pool

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: The staff was very friendly.
We have stayed at Best Westerns before and were impressed so therefore decided to give the Chico Heritage Inn a shot. As soon as we drove up, we were disappointed The location is wrapped around the freeway, the exit and the main road. The pool is in the corner of the exit and main street surrounded by trees. The pool area was covered with leaves both in and out of the water. There were also no lounge chairs so why bother. (So much for a suntan.) The breakfast area was very small and there was a limited selection of breakfast items. Coffee was good however. We should have stayed at the Oxford. Lesson learned.

Smokey

Posted May 27, 2015 on Hotels
The staff was very helpful. However, the hotel does allow smoking and there is a problem with smoke in the hallways. The rooms were over fragranced to mask the smoke? We have problems with smoke so won't return.

Do not choose this property until they have renova

Posted May 26, 2015 on Hotels
I was not pleased with this room. There were dumpsters in the back of property and mattresses laying on their side. To be honest, the mattresses in our room were so poor that they should have been thrown out with the others. Broken towel bar, stains on carpet, and all for over $140 a night. Pleased. Ummmm. No.

A bit too shabby for me

Posted May 26, 2015 on Hotels
The rooms were clean, but dated. The structure as a whole looks worn and old. I was thinking this was another hotel, when I booked as both look somewhat the same from the outside. Oxford Inn was what I was thinking. I doubt if we will ever stay again, as it was in a part of town that didn't have much too offer w/in walking distance other than a Kmart.

It was a nice stay and conveniently close

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: I like the location of the hotel.
Cons: I would like to see improvement on the continental breakfast to where your not rushed, because the person has to clean up and close.
Location: There are lots of outdoor activities
My experience was a nice and pleasant. I just enjoy the area that we were staying in Chico,Ca.
