Really a 4 star hotel?

We booked a romantic break at Charingworth Manor and paid 4 star prices for the accommodation. The first disappointment was the need to clamber up a very steep and narrow staircase with a heavy suitcase. Not for those with a heart condition! The breakfast would match that served up by a health farm. Full English: 1/2 a mushroom, small sausage, pullet fried egg, rasher of bacon, single hash brown. In our suite we had an old 15" LCD TV with only 4 channels and needed to rock the TV to get sound on BBC 1. Really not up to standard. On the plus side the room was clean and the staff very helpful and the location delightful. Its a shame these small issues spoiled the experience.
