Not a 5 star....

I stayed at this hotel for five days while conducting business and visiting family. Bathroom counter was stained and amenities were well below what I was expecting from their website.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in! Central location! Walking distance from everywhere. Service is superb! Has a great spa and casino within the hotel! The best so far!

City break NOT

Pros: Hotel is new and looks modern
Cons: This hotel is advertised as the only international 5 star hotel in Moldova – training required to achieve this Also the casino is pointless
Location: Not much to do other than visit a couple of museums and churches
Spa- was shut down for 2 days, we were told it was to be disinfected but a staff member confirmed that the 'Boss' of the Radisson Blu was visiting & was using the Spa hence it was closed! Absolutely disgusting. If there was a genuine reason the spa required maintenance, why wasn't the residents informed of this - I have stayed in hotels for business for 3 nights per week for 6 years so I am very familiar as to what service should be provided and communication is very simple to achieve (common sense) Staff- hotel staff were nice & helpful Zaxi- is their signature restaurant & is known as the best in the city. My partner is allergic to Sesame & we emphasised this fact multiple times. Starters & Mains arrived at the same time & 1 hour late, the starter arrived with sesame encrusted bread. We complained & jaw dropping was told it was parmesan! They came back with plain bread & we was expected to remove & use the same toppings ourselves using the same plate & cutlery, the cross contamination would have caused suffocation. They try to impose an 'exclusive VIP' culture to the restaurant. I'm from London & again very familiar with fine dining at Michelin Star restaurants & Zaxi does not cut it. Expect the same service as a high street food chain. We complained the next day about the overall service but the GM was ‘too busy’ to speak to us. We checked out and spoke to his assistant who took all the details and advised he would contact us. It’s been a month and no contact!

I can imagine that our inability to use the SPA started your stay with us on the wrong foot but as I mentioned during our conversation the SPA was closed due to a regular disinfection which unfortunately took longer than we anticipated. I`m sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience in out signature restaurant ,as apologize the dinner was offered complimentary. As you may know providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and hearing we have fallen below that standard is something we like to address immediately. Please note that all the necessary action were took, GM was informed as immediate and a discount was applied at the check out process. Amazing hotel with an amazing staff! We visit Moldova a couple of times a year and I will stay at this hotel from now on. The staff were amazing. We have a little 15 month old and everyone was so friendly to him and so helpful. The locations is perfect, the food was great and the service was phenomenal! Love, love, love this hotel!

5 star hotel and 3 star service

From the moment you walk in , you sense the inconsistencies, one doorman opens the door and greets you, another one doesn't. The russian blonde dude who checked me in , oh by the way he clearly expressed he doesn't speak romanian , told me my room was given away to someone else and I had to be content with whatever he offered because they also had a big group in the house. Knowing that I booked my room way in advance, this whole check in process made me feel bad. I don't care what your excuse is, in fact in a 5 star hotel I should not hear Any!!! At the restaurant for breakfast, the tall young lady( hostess or manager) asked me if I wanted a coffee and automatically assumed I wanted a cappuccino, only afterwards to realize I wanted something else. Please ask your guests what they want, do not assume anything!!! Stop using your personal cell phones at work and focus on your guests. They pay your wages, don't they? Overall I expected more from this hotel, they claim to be some of the best, and was disappointed with staff bad attitude and lack of grace!!!!

A nice surprise

Pros: Location, rooms, and staff
Location: Most of the city's sights are nearby.
Everything about the hotel was great. The rooms were big, staff was great, food was good and the location excellent. I didn't expect such a nice hotel in this city.
