The hotel is well located to allow visits to all the local Chateau within a 30/40 minute radius. The town is clean and quiet and there is secure parking to the rear. Staff were friendly and helpful but the property is in need of modernising. Rooms are basic and furnished the same. Stair carpets are frayed and walls all marked from cases being taken up/down the stairs. New furniture and doors to the rooms, recarpeting and some paintwork could quite easily transform the hotel.
The restaurant does serve an excellent (not cheap) evening meal. You can eat elsewhere for less but it's good value when you compare it. Excellent friendly service and no rush at all.
Refurbished and allowing for the food, I'd reccommend staying but at the moment I would say, stay somewhere nearby and give the resaurant a try!
