Room we stayed in happened to be right below the heat pump fans or generators located on the roof, this made for a sleepless night. Access hole to the ceiling was then vibrating due to fans above. There is no signage or communication when checking in about this issue. When checking out mentioned this for future.

Room was beautiful and clean. Parking was awful. Specifically asked for parking when I booked. When I arrived it was just first in first served on top floor of parking building. Then had to carry bags down dodgy stinky dark staircase outside to get to reception. Was way too tight to drive up the ramp to the top floor in my Ute. Great room though

Lovely accommodations with a small kitchenette to prepare our afternoon tea. Location is excellent as it allowed us to visit the botanical garden and enjoy the outdoors during our first day in New Zealand. Lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel allowed us to keep out car in their lot and held our luggage for a couple of hours after we checked out. Would recommend the Parkview On Hagley.

I've had the pleasure of staying at Parkview a couple of times and have enjoyed each stay. However, my recent stay I was locked out of my room for an amount of time late in the evening while waiting for assistance to get back in. This is no fault of the establishment and more of an issue with the lock itself, however there was no form of acknowledgement other than instructions to keep the door propped open if I had to leave my room at any point before it could get fixed (risking my belongings being stolen) and a 'Sorry" at checkout. Rather disappointed.

It is in a good location. Room was clean and comfortable. Checkin was a bit odd as the hotel.com instructions say to call 24 hours ahead but the hotel didn't seem to care. Otherwise person at reception was nice. Had a guest laundry and there are restaurants right next door. Would stay again.

The carpark was gross! Rubbish everywhere and a skip over flowing. Then a truck arrived at 4.50am to empty it. Woke up with such a fright, it was very very loud. Pipes in the bathroom were very loud when another room was using water. Spa bath didnt work. However the bed was comfortable, the shower was good and the reception was friendly.
