Pros: nothing
Cons: cleanlyness , pretty run down not worth the price at all.
Location: ?
am a non smoker, was given a smoking room, had a real hard time going to sleep , the pillows stunk of smoke and the spread smelled like smoke. the price was rediculace even for a race weekend. I have never paid that kinda price before and never will again. I am sure the price was upted after i booked it. will screen shot any reservations for now on.

Good for the price

Posted Jun 18, 2015 on Hotels
The man at the desk was incredibly friendly and offered lots of information about local places to eat. The room was quaint but smelled like moth balls, very strongly. I had a hard time sleeping because of the smell. The AC unit was up so high I could not reach it, luckily my husband is taller and could reach up above the sink to turn it on. The room was stuffy when we got there and I wish the AC would have been on before our arrival. All in all, it was a good stay for the price. If we could get a room without moth balls I'd stay again!

Motel Refurbish needed

Posted Aug 28, 2012
Needs a total overhaul, non-smoking room reeked of smoke, threadbare sheets, no blanket on bed, bathroom not very clean.

Country hotel with a good price

Posted Jun 19, 2012
Pros: Quiet, country setting.
Cons: Slight smell in the room.
Location: Out of the way but easy drive to civilization.
I needed a cheap place to crash for one night while visiting relatives in Kingsport. Not too far from my meeting place and easy access to I-26 to travel the next morning. There's nothing around it, which was OK with me as I ate before I got to the hotel. The lady at the desk was pleasant and efficient but not overly friendly. The room was clean enough, but had a chemical smell (bug spray? carpet cleaner?) and there were obvious signs of wear. Again, I wasn't here for an aesthetic experience. I looked carefully for signs of bugs or dirt and found none. Bed was comfy. TV worked great, lots of standard channels (65 or so) but no clock-radio/alarm clock. Shower worked great and bathroom was clean and sanitary. The country around it was really pretty, rolling hills and lots of quiet as the building is back from the road and there's not a lot of traffic. Would have been great for someone wanting to go for a run in the morning. My wife would not have liked this, but it was clean and functional enough for me.

over priced

it's to bad you have to pay 4 times the price of what the room is worth just because it's a race weekend.

Nice quiet country stop.

Posted Jun 10, 2010
The owner/manager is very nice. This is a clean, quiet little motel set back from a lightly traveled highway, on an up-slope. Beautiful countryside in rural Church Hill, and only a 10 mile drive on the highway to the city of Kingsport. There's a Mexican restaurant next door, and a small restaurant for all meals just a half mile east, towards Kingsport. This is a nice stopping place for a restful, quiet evening. Nothing fancy, just basic old time peace and quiet.
