A lovely place to stay
"A lovely old building well refurbished. Obviously as an old building there is no double glazing and not much by way of soundproofing - but this was not really a problem.
Single room was a good size with some nice touches like books and playing cards. Bathroom very modern.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. "

"Very comfortable stay. Nice pool, nice room with opening window for fresh air.
But, most importantly, every single member of staff was exceptionally friendly and polite - and they all work hard. Service really good, restaurant food is amazing. Each meal I tried (for the week) was spot on. Especially the duck! Prices very reasonable imho.
Also, in the bar open during the day, small breakfast options such as baps are available.
Really nice overall feel."

"It was a very fun hotel and has a pool ans small steam and sauna ans tiny jacuzzi. The spa changing are was basic. The room ans bathroom was modern. The breakfast was reasonable for a 4 star with fried eggs the best bit and mini pastries tucked away in the corner- no queues etc either.
On check in and check out lots of towels or bedding littering hallways which didnt make a great 1st impression leading to the room. We came with kids and booked 2 rooms as they are small and i think only do cot beds not rollaways. Very close to station and shopping and the local costa."

"Great hotel, facilities and staff. The local Area was a business district so not great for families, but the free city centre shuttle bus was excellent."
Great hotel, lovely grounds, workout area horrible
"Staff were great, hotel in general good. The amenities pool, workout area, showers left me cold. The treadmills are dusty, dirty, screens did not work and were nasty. The entire room needs a thorough clean. We had a wonderful family breakfast and it was wonderful. "

"I arrived tired and with a massive headace so I wasn't in the best of moods. Me and my young son went into our room which was really cosy. I lay on the bed having forgotten to bring paracetamol and felt awful. Then I heard a dog barking continuously in the room under ours. I let it go for ten minutes then had to ring reception. As I said I wasnt in the best of moods so I took my frustration out on the receptionist and asked to be moved away from the dog. I did immediately apologise, I know it wasnt her fault I just felt unwell and the dog was making it worse. The dog carried on for another 20 minutes or so then reception rang me back, they had found us a new room. I can't praise the hotel enough. It was spotlessly clean, the staff were amazing, the beds were so comfortable. I had an amazing sleep, and my headache had vanished, thank god! The breakfast the next morning was beautiful, everything there that you could possibly want, cereal, toast, croissants, fruit, the cooked breakfast were nice and hot, the coffee really smooth and plenty for my son as in the way of milk, fruit juices and water.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. "
"Came as part of the Eastercon contingent. I'm not usually a fan of ground floor hotel rooms but this one was great as was so easy to get to everything. For once remembered my swimming kit and so made sure I got a go in the pool/spa, last-minute as it all was. Overall had a really good time and very much enjoyed the food, and the gin selection!
Had completely forgotten the RAF Museum Cosford was nearby, so I got a bit of a tour and a bit of work done while I was at it. Most importantly, had a nice relaxing few days in a way I hadn't achieved so far this year, so bonus points for that. I shall return because I've a couple of things I didn't quite have time to do whilst here, like the trip to Ironbridge. "
