"Hotel with a view"
We had a lovely stay at Agur Denari. The hotel is very nice & comfortable, and the owners/staff were very kind to us - in particular helping us figure out how to get our rental car into reverse. The room was small but clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed the balcony with sea view. We had room #15 and were very pleased to stay here. It was a very easy 15 minute walk into St Jean de Luz...the hill was not as bad as some previous reviewers made out. If you are in any shape at all, it is not an issue.

"Decent enough but could be much better"
Not great cleanliness, some roaches appeared in the room. Double bed was just a sofa bed, that was not clear when booked. Facilities were generally very good, lack of food options on site.

Pocket Guide: Ciboure, Ciboure Adventure Sport Hotels

Notable as the birthplace of composer Maurice Ravel and former home of Henri Matisse, the town of Ciboure is a quieter twin to its larger neighbor Saint-Jean-de-Luz, which lies just across the river. The 16th-century Church of St. Vincent features baroque architecture and an unusual octagonal tower, while a natural bay shelters the beach and harbor from Atlantic waves.
