Updated, clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff

First impression: Front desk attendant was very friendly and super helpful! When we got to our room, after check-in, my daughter noticed the wi-fi wasn't working. A call to the front desk brought the attendant to our room to help.
We think the problem was attributed to our location at the top corner of the building. However, since this location is my personal preference, I was willing to deal with it. However, you may want to keep that in mind if wi-fi access is very important to you.
The hotel's common areas and our room were updated and very clean. Our room was well appointed and had a fridge AND microwave, and although the pillows were new and soft, the mattresses were VERY firm.
I found the breakfast room to be one of the nicer ones I've seen. It was very large and could accommodate everyone easily, even the late crowd. There were two waffle irons, eggs sausages , a variety of breads, warm oatmeal not instant) Donuts, pastries, juices, milks and coffee. The attendant did a fantastic job keeping everything filled and cleaned! There were no long waits for any food items and the guests moved quickly thru the line as a result. I was very impressed.
We did not use the indoor pool or hot tub and although the pool was rather small, it did look very clean.
I will definitely visit the Mason Best Western again if I am in the area and I would recommend any friend or family member to visit as well! It was a very pleasant experience and very much appreciated!
