Not bad, but not good enough for the price

I have stayed at Millennium in the past but since this is my third time and I don't believe I've reviewed it, I decided I would this time.
The bottom line is that for its price, you can stay in a much nicer looking, more modern, up to date and luxurious hotel for a few more dollars per night. I stayed at the Millennium because of price but it just isn't worth it!
The rooms are outdated, the walls are in disrepair (there is some kind of glue on the walls), the light switches and electrical outlets aren't in convenient spots on the walls and the whole room just doesn't have a "welcoming" feeling.
The service at the hotel is okay but, quite honestly, I feel that a hotel speaks for itself more from how cleanly and nice the rooms are and not just for customer service.
Millennium desperately needs an update and has needed one for at least a decade at this point. I won't be staying here anymore.
Also, valet parking at $27 is a ripoff. There are perfectly good parking garages for much less. However, if you want your car parked for you, I guess it can be worth it.
It's just a shame because this hotel is in a very prime location in downtown Cincinnati!!!
