Close to main attractions

Pros: -Keep in mind that Italian hotels will never match the brilliant American style Marriotts or Trump hotels. The facility is the same as a 2 star hotel in the USA similar to a Best Western, but it will be very comfortable. -5 minute walk to the beach and train station. The hill is very steep but a good workout. -Onsite parking out front. But you really don't need a rental car here as the train runs along the coast connecting all 5 beach towns. It's a 2 minute train ride between each town for $2 each way. -Several restaurants were open in this village even in cold November. The restaurant at the beach has patio seating with awesome views, and charges $20 for pasta and it is worth it. -The train station was constantly packed but most folks stay in far away hotels inland. So these beach towns are almost empty for local overnighters in offseason. I recommend to stay local to avoid the travel stress. I saw everything I needed in 1 day and pictures came out perfect on my iPhone on cloudy days.
Cons: need a key to lock door while inside room. This is a Fire hazard.

Perfect Home Base for Cinque Terre

Posted Oct 16, 2016
We loved this place! First, Enrico is an amazing host. He speaks about six languages and works incredibly hard to help his guests with anything necessary to make the visit a success. Second, you could not possibly have a better location for exploring the Cinque Terre. Riomaggiore is easy to reach by car or train, and once there you are right in the heart of the Cinque Terre with only very short hops to the other four villages quite easy by small local ferry or train. We met other travellers who booked hotels outside the Cinque Terre in resorts farther away, and at the end of a long day when they were waiting hours for long-haul ferries home they really regretted it. This hotel is perfectly located on the edge of Riomaggiore so you are part of the ancient village and an easy 5 minute walk to shops and excellent restaurants, but accessable by car and quiet at night. And finally, the hotel is perfectly clean with all modern conveniences. We had rooms on the upper level that were exactly as advertised, including a spectacular ocean view from our terrace that looked exactly like the website. Heaven. Highly recommended.

Comfortable stay in safe area, excellent owners!

Posted Sep 11, 2016
Our stay was made exceptional by the hospitality of the owners! They gave us a map and highlighted all the great things to do in the area. They served a wonderful breakfast! We wanted to stay another day, but it was fully booked. The owner, Enrico, called every hotel owner in the area until he found a place for us to stay! He then walked us to the new place to ensure we got there okay. Exceptional serivce!

Pros: Location, staff, clean.
Cons: Too many steps
Location: Hiking, go and discover the other villages as well.
Nice place to stay. Basic facility but it was located in a cute neighborhood. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was a great experience and we had a great time. The washroom and bathroom were very clean.

Nice patio, clean rooms, friendly staff

Posted Aug 10, 2016
Pros: Nice view higher up, friendly staff.
Enjoyable stay for our family. Hotel manager Enrico was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable. The hotel is a bit of a hike uphill from the center of town, but this means that it's also in a quieter area with a nice view over the town from the patio.

Proactive communication upon booking, attentive service during out stay and a very clean room with effective air conditions (crucial if staying in the hot summer months).
