1970's Dorm Room

Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: Proximity to ferries.
Cons: Most everything from decor to room size to staffing to reception to plumbing ...
Location: Location good for getting ferries to Cinque Terre, that's all.
Very disappointed. Super small room. 1970's university dorm room decor. No kidding! Squeaky plumbing/pipes kept us awake all night. Location is not close to any shops or restaurants to speak of. Didn't feel, look or smell very clean. Restaurant an top floor was so-so. Buffet breakfast was somewhat redeeming. Felt more like a hostel than a hotel.

Veraltetes, hellhöriges Hotel

Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: Die Lage

Somewhat convenient for Cinque Terre

Posted Aug 2, 2015
The front desk staff was exceptional! The pillows and bed were wonderful! Everything else was just ok: hotel seems under renovation, old lobby furniture, unappealing breakfast, dated furnishings in room, very dark bathrooms with no counter space. We appreciated the black out drapes and air conditioning very much. About 20 minute walk to train station ... Would recommend a taxi. Super convenient to Water ferry boats. When so much to see at Cinque Terre we weren't in rooms that much. Enjoyed proximity to variety of restaurants and would recommend La Suprema and Pepe Nero's Pizza. :-)

Modern hotel near shopping center

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: The room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast had something for everyone.
Cons: More outlets.
Location: The train station is walkable and easy to get to from the Autostrade
We stayed in La Spezia while hiking and swimming in Cinque Terre. La Spezia was lovely. Everything you'd need from sunscreen to a new swim suit is available relatively closely.

Ottima posizione!

Location: La Spezia does not have a great cathedral or an art museum, BUT it is charming and reminds one of a small Monaco.
Great location, helpful staff, convenient to ocean and park. A short bus ride on #3 bus to train station for Cinque Terra.
