Good enough hotel for an overnight stay. The decor and the furnishings need updating. For example a tile in the bathroom is covered by duck tape. It’s clean/warm and was a comfortable sleep so did the job fine.

Staff are excellent and very friendly.cafe bar on the ground floor was really nice welcoming and reasonably priced. Cleanliness in the rooms wasn’t up to scratch with lots of dust on the walls and around the ceiling. Beds were spotless. Bathroom needed a better clean around the taps and plug but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice place, walking distance to everywhere. The room shook when trains passed but after the first couple of times u don't notice.. Only 2 channels on tv. Nice staff warm rooms good shower.

Not a good experience.
Arrived early and sat in foyer for 2 hours which was right beside the bar where a group was drinking. Very noisy, uncomfortable very worn couches. Would have liked the offer of a hot drink considering I had travelled 12,000 miles.

Always a pleasure to stay at this comfy and none corporate hotel . Massive breakfast and friendly multicultural staff Fabulous single malt whisky too in a nice bar where the fabulous breakfast is also served

Location isnt everything
First impressions with the Reception and Bar area where very good but once in the lift you could tell work was needed ,The room wasnt the cleanest and the Bathroom was musty and full of loose and broken tiles

Cheap room which is what I wanted. The room vibrated when the trains went past, but to me that added to the charm of the venue. It's due a refresh, but for a place to lay my head after a staff party it was just what I needed. Thank you to the team at the hotel.

Great location right beside Glasgow Central station. I decided to book last minute for a Christmas night out. My room was available at 2:30pm, very nice welcome both on arrival and a breakfast. The lobby doubles as bar and breakfast are and is chic and trendy. Breakfast was self serve, continental and great value for money. Toast, Yoghurt, Coffee, OJ, ham, cheese, fruit and tomato and cucumber, highly recommend and would definitely stay again. My single room was in the fourth floor and for the price and convenience of location I was very happy. Comfortable bed, good shower and good quality towels.

Not for me
I had realistic expectations when i booked as it was cheap. I expected basic, no frills accommodation but I expected it to be clean. The shower room was filthy. I should have asked for a new room but it was late when I arrived and I was tired. I cleaned the filth and hairs from the shower tray with wipes I had with me. The shower door was broken and would not close. The light above the bed did not work. There are shades and bulbs missing from the light in the bathroom. The lift and hallways smelt like cigarette amoke and cooking Overall disappointing but easily fixed - get new cleaners!

Downgraded hotel
We were disappointed with our stay. We stayed here previously a few years ago and the place has seriously downgraded. Everything needs a serious revamp - the lift sounds like it’s going to break down and you’ll be stuck every time you enter, carpets are dirty, tiles are misplaced in the bathroom and causing a trip hazard, tiles are mouldy and the towel rail was cluttered with dust and very rusty. Bed sheets were not the cleanest and we both felt very itchy the first night we slept in the beds. Beds provided a semi comfortable night sleep but the only positive we can take from this stay is that there was a good sized desks and two full length mirrors to use when getting ready. Also plenty storage for us to use. Other than that, thankfully we were out and about in the city more than we were in the room but there were just many little things that could easily be sorted that would have made our stay more pleasant. The room also had a foosty smell, damp and cracks in the roof.

This 7was an average hotel but fit our needs perfectly. It is located across from Central train station and a 7 minute walk to Waverly train station. Close to Argyle St for all the shopping and close to Buchanan street as well. Needs some major updates but it was clean and the price was good.

Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are basic, neat and clean. However, the lighting on the bed did not work, the tv had only two grainy channels working and the curtains were coming off the rail and had to be pinned, from my trusty travel sewing kit, together to close.

The staff on entrance good attitude when booking on to hotel. The door to get into the room were very stiff and difficult to access and had to use force. The room once inside had carpet missing on the edges, the windows were very filthy and made it difficult to see outside. The TV had 2 channels only which wasn’t great when nothing else to do when inside the room, I requested a bath tub which I got and the water never got warm or Hot it remained cold, the sink also remained cold and to have a strip wash or a bath/shower wasn’t possible. Very disappointed with the visit on this occasion.
