Central to Everything

Pros: From the moment you arrive at the doorsteps of the hotel you are made to feel welcome, the service of the staff was outstanding.
Cons: Bed comfort, the bed was too hard.
Location: Access to key tourist locations is within walking distances (excluding Sentosa/zoo!!). Using the HOHO (hop on hop off) bus made getting around easy.
From the moment you arrive at the doorsteps of the Swissotel The Stamford you are made to feel welcome, checking in was easy but you need to clarify details on any upgrades or specials. The service of the staff was outstanding, quick, polite and engaging, no question or request was not attended to. Dining at the Equinox restaurant on the 70th floor is a must do (not cheap), the view is stunning and so is the food. General eating and drinking at the hotel is expensive but the quality is very good. Access to key tourist locations is within walking distances (excluding Sentosa/zoo!!). Using the HOHO (hop on hop off) bus service made getting around all the more simpler and easier on the feet. The rates for multi day use and access to all the key tourist areas is very affordable.

Amazing staff & location but disappointing hotel

Pros: The highlight was the service received - all staff were amazing and incredibly helpful. Could not fault the staff. Location - so close to everything
Cons: Desperately needs updating and they have started renovations but the impact of these renos was not made clear on the website (no pool, no lifts, etc)
Location: everything is in easy access of the hotel. It's a great location and only a couple of MRT stops to most places of interest.
lifts weren't working had to u,se goods lift for entire stay - not pleasant to see the back-end of a hotel, air con wasn't working so moved rooms but a/c was so loud and not working properly, no conditioner in bathroom, only one teabag, bath didn't drain during shower so always standing in ankle deep shower water and shower screen leaked onto bathroom floor making towels/floor mat soaking wet each time, pool was closed for renovations but was offered to use pool in hotel next door. Hotel was disappointing as had good reviews and recommendations but unfortunately didn't live up to expectations

The location and staff is tops

This was a good exp to stay in the Swiss..the staff is tops and got bit of a hard job wit the hotel upgrades going on.I WILL RETURN AGAIN TO THE SWISS. THANKS TO YOUR FRIENDLY STAFF.THEY ARE PROFESINALS

Great location,central to all attractions.

Pros: The friendly atmosphere.
Cons: The delays in the lifts coming to the required floor,maybe current renovations on some floors causing delay.
Location: Excellent location,Gardens by the bay and Flower dome well worth the visit.
Excellent staff,In particular staff in the hotel cafe were always very pleasant and obliging.

Location and Service

Pros: Accessibility to shopping malls, MRT.
Cons: All is good.
Location: Walk around the marina. There are food eateries during the night.
Hotel is strategically located with many tourist atttractions. The hotel front desk, concierge, room service and traffic warden did very good job during my stay.

Nice hotel great location

We were offered an upgrade upon arrival to a harbour view room, breakfast and late afternoon drinks. So pleased we took up the offer. The view was amazing, breakfast was great and we were very happy with the drinks offer after a day of shopping or sight seeing. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful especially Rhea and Anson in the lounge on level 60. Our only concern was the longer than expected wait for the lifts. Will book this hotel again

Good view on high floors

Cons: Lifts. Waiting time for the lifts was way too long. As long as 8 minutes.
Location: Location is great and very convenient in town. Near Suntec city mall and Marina Square.
Generally great hotel. Views are pleasant, service was still okay. Executive lounges are very particular about timings and number of guests. Remember to give tips.
