Normal, good location

Good location if you want to go to Hard Rock Café or en event at the hotel. A little outdated but good service and kind staff.

The rooms were a little outdated but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The front desk called me 5 minutes after I arrived to see if everything was ok with the room. I was only there one night but would stay there again.

Such a nice room, jacuzzi, great view of pool. Thanks for the room upgrade!! We love the food in the bar !! Nice place to be stuck during a tropical storm....on a sunny day pool is awesome.

Nice hotel with 3 pools!

This hotel was very eye-catching, very appealing as soon as you walk in you get a wow factor which is very nice to see in most cases. There was something I was not a really crazy for which was the carpet I think that needs either a complete renew or a complete removal and there are some furniture that needed some updating but aside from that I think the hotel itself is a really nice place. Closer to very nice restaurants and multiple mall and lastly it has three pools you can’t go wrong with that! The only issue that I had was with the gym. There was only one treadmill.

Very nice hotel and views

Pros: Hotel is very clean, delicious food, very tranquil and great staff ready to help anytime.
Cons: Everything was good to me!
Location: Opposite to the hotel is Hard Rock Cafe and also there's a Mall like 10 minutes walk from the hotel also.
My family and I have stayed at Wyndham Hotel. Great hotel! We loved it. We've had a room upgrade to a Junior Suite. We didn't see that coming..... That was amazing! Big bedroom, spacious living room and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi. Every thing was nice and clean. There's house keeping every single day also to keep every thing organized. About the food, the food was super delicious. They vary the breakfast every day so that you don't get tired of eating the same things over and over again. And we liked that a lot. For breakfast you'll sit along the pool with partial views to a couple of mountains. Very nice! And a super cool breeze of the wind blowing in the morning. Very friendly staff ready to assist you with anything that you need. They always have a smile on their faces. The hotel has 4 restaurants. We've eaten in all of them. They were super delicious. Three of the restaurants are in the hotel itself and the other one (Hard Rock Cafe) is in front of the hotel. Hard Rock Cafe has an area for kids to play and a small shop to buy souvenirs. The hotel has great security in front of the hotel. So you'll feel very safe! Overall great hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Finally I want to say that Costa Rica has a way of life that I like a lot. All of the Costa Rican people say: PURA VIDA! That means anything positive that you can imagine. For example: That you're good, family is good, that you're in a good mood, etc etc. Just say it and you'll see for yourself...

Rooms dissapointing

The rooms do not come anywhere close to the impressive entrance or the internet photos. Physical maintence is lacking. Facilities are old and run down. The room had a musty odor. There was mold in the bathroom ceiling. The shower head did not function well, the bed springs made noise when you rolled over. The jacuzzi at the pool had no heat. The location to the san jose santamaria international airport was convienient and there were three restaurants within walking distance.

Black mold

The hotel and the room smelled like wet carpet. Then I noticed the water damage on the ceilings of the hotel. Then noticed black mold. Very dangerous. Outdated, front desk staff was not friendly and very short with their answers. Location is not ideal, not many places to go to. You are very confined to their restaurants.

Very outdated

Hotel smelled like mold. Noticed a ton of water damage. Front desk staff was not very friendly. Expensive, dark, only 3 restaurants (hard rock cafe, a supposedly Italian restaurant and a Japanese restaurant). Don’t waste your money on this hotel. It is definitely not a 4. I rate it a 2.
