The traffic noise goes all night since it’s along a major road. The lock for the door is one turn of the deadbolt and nothing else. The extra piece that is usually higher up to latch and catch a ball so you can’t open the door the whole way is not there. Missing that is bad enough but when your door opens to the outside as there is no inside hall then anyone could try to access your room.

When entering the facility I was greeted with a sad demeanor, received a key went to my room, which I believe was a smoking room, which I am not a smoker, but didn’t have a problem with it. The room had an odor as though something was not cleaned up correctly, and it was not the smell of smoke there were holes in the wall. The bed was uncomfortable. And upon father investigation, the bedsheets were dirty. I actually wind up, not even staying the night. I just grabbed my things and I left.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bath was really nice. The only complaints which are very minor is that we had the room next to the highway, and there was a bit of traffic noise. Just pointing that out in case anyone is sensitive to outside noises, but it didn't bother me in the least. Otherwise, it seemed like the heater in the room wouldn't let it get too warm, but it wasn't really cold either. We had it on max but it was no more than 70 degrees. It was early November so I don't know whether it would properly heat the room in the dead of winter or not. Other than that, the concrete walkway to the second level was cracked and not very attractive. Maybe they should resurface that soon. Overall, it was a very good stay and I would stay there again.

Front desk staff was very helpful with an early check-in for a scheduled wedding. Proximity to venue very good. Room door had a 1 to 1-1/2 inch gap from the latch to the floor and a 1/2 inch gap on the bottom. The door was clearly not in the frame properly. The cold air poured in all night, and we stuffed it with a towel as good as possible. It also made us anxious about security and safety. The next morning at check-out, the Mgr. said they were aware of it, and it was going to be fixed. They were fully booked, and we just lucked out on that room. Otherwise, the room was clean, although old, but refurbished. Nice bathroom. Priced fairly.

Econo Lodge Review
Upon arrival we checked in with no problem. When we went to our room we did not have a king bed which when they called to confirm I asked n they said yes to the bed. The floors were dirty n the towels did not look clean or were stained. Other than that staff was very friendly

The bed sheets and towels were stinky and owner was not some cooperative. Too much mosie and smoke smell was felt while sleeping although it was nonsmoking suit. Over priced !!

The trip was very nice went to Pittsburgh to go to The improv. The room was very spacious everything was tidy and clean. The floors could have used a mopping, it's an old motel but it was nice and roomy.

I mean there wasn’t bed bugs. It was pretty clean. The blankets had burn holes though. Good tv channels. Wish doors had an indoor door guard that hotels normally have. Wasn’t loud.

Good enough
The experience was adequate. The hot water was good. (Often times water temp and pressure are subpar at hotels) Door was wide open when we arrived, which made the room cold. Had to leave while room warmed up. Overall, good enough for our needs.

The rooms were nice, although the towels seemed a little dodgy. There are two parking lots here and you can't go between them without getting onto a busy highway, making two U-turns and coming back. Made getting to my room with the amount of stuff I had to drag up the steps extremely inconvenient. There was also no sign indicating what to do if you're checking in late, I had to call the hotel to get the guy to come open the door.

The room itself is old though they tried to remodel it. The staff was helpful but hard to understand. It smelled musty and like old cigarettes. We had to buy a candle the first night just to relieve our noses of the smell. The beds were not as comfortable and the sheets had stains and burn holes in the blankets. We ended up leaving and travelling back home instead of staying the second night.

Smelled Horrible, Rundown, Not Safe.
Place was gross. Exterior was run down, chunks of plaster missing, on second level balcony there was a massive pile of tools and materials that have probably been piled there forever. The room as soon as we entered smelled like 10 people were just in it smoking up a storm. We had to leave the door open for a few hours hoping it’d air out a little. The smell was so bad it was turning my stomach. Things were sticky, bed sheets had stains. No elevator which is fine but stairs were narrow and really steep. Place didn’t feel the safest either. I would never stay there again nor would I reccomend it.

I stayed for 3 nights & I like the place, the rooms were big & full of amenities, had study table , clean freeze & microwave, big bathroom, huge bed king size, also I found the staff friendly, they offered to help. For the price you pay you will get a lot of amenities & clean. Definitely recommend others.

The owner was very nice to us. However, our first night there was terrible, we heard everything going on upstairs and it kept us up all night after driving 9 hours! Disappointing that there's no coffee pot in room. Room could definitely use an update. Sheets and bedspread had burn holes in it.. they definitely need to invest in new bedding for the rooms. Overall, not too horrible for the price and a place to stay while in Pittsburgh
