Nice hotel near the castle

Posted Apr 19, 2017
Pros: The location was great close to everything
Cons: The carpets have seen better days
Location: The castle is within two minutes walk as well as the restaurants and pubs
Hotel was nice it had a lot of facilities and spa. Breakfast was a buffet and the eggs and bacon were very dry from the heat lamps. The staff was very good

Nice hotel within walking distance to hotel.

Posted Apr 13, 2017
Pros: Clean, and location.
Cons: new paint and carpet.
Location: pubs, and Bunratty Castle.
The hotel was nice, but a bite dated, could use some paint and new carpet. Front desk staff was very nice, but the breakfast staff was a bit rude.

Two Night Stay

Posted Mar 19, 2017
Pros: Its proximity to restaurants and to Shannon airport. The staff was nice.
Cons: Almost everything in the hotel could be improved. It was very worn and dated.
Location: The location was good. Close to Dirty Nellies and couple of restaurants. 8 km's from the airport, easy to get there for an early morning flight
The outside of the hotel looks nice. The inside, where it counts was very disappointing. The hotel is dated and very worn. The hallways are long and confusing to get around. The rooms were worn and both beds in the room NEED to be replaced. The curtains would fall off the window. The bathtub needs to have the caulk replaced because of mold growing. The hotel had a 4 Star rating at one time, but I wouldn't give it more than a 2 Star in the current condition. There are a number of other hotels in the area that look newer and nicer.

friendly staff

Posted Mar 16, 2017
Pros: Nice location
Cons: The electricity box on the wall in the bedroom buzzed loudly all night keeping me awake. It was difficult to sleep through it. Room 244.
Location: Nice location for trip pick ups.
Friendly helpful staff with lovely reception areas. Set in nice grounds with a few amenities. Absolutely awful breakfast - tasteless and boiled looking. In Ireland you want a real Irish fry.

Lovely hotel

Posted Mar 13, 2017
Well situated - easy drive from a Dublin airport (roughly 2 hours straight down the motorway) and short drive from many of the sights around County Clare and further. Strongly recommend a trip to the coast (Spanish point/ cliffs of Moher etc.). Situated opposite Bunratty Castle which is stunning (worth a visit!). Lots of nice pubs in the village - plenty to eat and drink! Beautiful hotel with lovely spa (great pool and jacuzzi!). Staff were fantastic and rooms spacious and clean.

Good location and comfortable hotel. Bit light on staffing in the bar but other than that a very enjoyable stay.
