Our breakfast is served between 8:30am and 10am and at this time we are still providing options to either dine in our restaurant or have room service. Thank you for staying with us!

Thank you for your feedback and we are certainly disappointed that you were not satisfied with several aspects of your stay. While we do not advertise as a resort but rather as a historic country Inn, we do have an on-site restaurant open Tuesday through Saturday, a pool and a few other amenities that many resorts do offer. Although your stay with us included a Tuesday night, unfortunately we had to close that evening because our chef had an emergency and was in the hospital and our sous chef was out of town. As you mentioned breakfast is complimentary, and due to the situation with COVID we are continuing to offer breakfast delivery to your room at no extra charge. Also we provide a welcome bag in your room with several snacks and homemade baked goods. Given the rise in the COVID variant we are minimizing contact with guests so therefore are not touching guests bags and offer a contact free welcome packet outside the front door of our lobby. We are available by request to help you with anything you need and wish we would have known about your concerns while you were here. We were also surprised you felt the property was not lit well as we have outside lighting all over the Inn and gardens. We provide you a flashlight both in case you venture out to our fire pit in our 12-acre meadow and also as a souvenir. Finally, we do not have TVs in the room due to the historic nature of our property that is not sound proof and we do have cell service mainly through Verizon. Perhaps a more traditional hotel would be more to your liking than an Inn in the country. Again, thank you for staying with us.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed certain aspects of the Inn. Unfortunately with the historic nature of our Inn built in 1875, the sound proofing is not like a modern structure. Our restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and in addition to making this clear on the confirmation, we call each guest ahead of time to make sure they know and are told about the restaurants in Clarkesville that we recommend (9 miles away, not 20). I hope next time since the restaurant is important to your stay you can book Tuesday through Saturday. Thanks again!

We are sorry you did not enjoy your room experience at the Inn. Our ladybug visitors come once a year usually in late October but were later this year due to the warm weather. You were in a corner Queen room (which we advertise as our smallest rooms but have the best view) that gets the afternoon sun and they particularly like that room. We try everything possible to keep them at bay, keep your room cleaned, etc. We position our inn as rustic elegance, which most guests confirm. We don't advertise as "luxury". We are glad you enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner. Perhaps historic Inns are not the best fit for you. All the best!
