Dear Anthony, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your recent stay at the Americas Best Value Inn Clearlake/Wine Country. We take seriously all feedback we receive from our guests as we work to improve our levels of service and comfort. One thing we greatly appreciate from our guests is the communication of issues during your stay rather than after. Unfortunately we were not aware of anyone attempting to sell drugs on our property, nor have we had this issue in the past. The Clearlake Police Department is down the road a short ways from us. The officers are very active in our area, which cuts down on illegal activity. If this were to ever happen to you in the future, please be considerate of others and report it to the management team or police directly. We understand the issue of having mattresses on the walkway. As you have seen, our property is very small with little room to maneuver or store items. As our renovation is nearing an end, we very temporarily must place items in guest view until we can return them to their home. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. We hope that you will reconsider staying with us during your future visits to the Clearlake area. Please feel free to contact me if I may be of assistance. Best regards,

construction debris and people everywhere-mess

Posted Jun 25, 2017
Pros: the view of the lake was nice when you walked out unto the pier area
Cons: see above regarding motel I do have photos of the above conditions but do not feel that I should include them
Location: location is close to most everything as well as on the lake
Staff and family very nice but the motel is a disaster-- construction debris all around as well as people--seems that they were living near the stairs-- food and cooking items and dirty dishes and pans laying the open and in plain view. Atmosphere would make a family question the choice to stay there. Truly a distasteful experience and totally unacceptable for a AAA rated property.

Dear Chuck, Thank you for your feedback following your recent stay at the Americas Best Value Inn Clearlake/Wine Country. We greatly appreciate the comments we receive from our valued guests. We are so proud of our location on the lake, including the longest pier in all of Clearlake. We are nearing the completion of our room renovations, giving our guests a fresh experience when staying with us! We completely understand and apologize for the conditions of the property during your stay. I have spoke to my construction team to address the debris and have alleviated the problem. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It is my sincere hope that you will give us another try during your next visit to Lake County! Please feel free to contact me directly. Warm regards,

One night stop in a nice town.

Posted May 30, 2017
Pros: Staff- manager very congenial and eager to help.
Location: Nice small town with great bakery and the Spot (restaurant) has the best $10 burgers ever.
Wanted a clean room in quiet location with firm bed. Obviously a dated room but renovation was nice and rate reasonable even for Memorial Day Weekend. Relaxed setting. Reviews from 2016 weren't good but those from 2017 were so we booked and were NOT disappointed.

Pros: Friendly management. Quick attention to make sure our stay is comfortable.
Cons: Will wait until after the renovation process to comment. I'm not sure there will be anything left to improve!
Location: Great location. Right on the lake. Easy to find.
Hotel is in process of renovations. We were placed in a newly renovated room. Management gave immediate attention to the little quirks that come with such an endeavor. Looking forward to future visits to see progress!

Horrible. I made the reservation online, but after seeing the place, did not feel safe staying there a week. But they still charmed me for two nights. I will never stay there!!

Dear guest, Thank you for providing feedback after your recent visit to the Americas Best Value Inn Clearlake/Wine Country. We are surprised at your comments regarding a proposition of drugs and not feeling safe. Our hotel is a very safe place for guests with no reported crime incidents. Furthermore, the Clearlake Police are vigilant in keeping our town safe. The police station is only 1/2 mile away from us, meaning they pass by regularly. If you encounter a similar experience in the future, we hope that you will speak directly to us and we can take the necessary steps to address the situation. Kind regards,

the place was inexpensive and clean. it was nothing to write home to mama about. there was one cool thing...they had their own private pier to walk out onto the lake, pretty cool.
