Not a lasting impression

Upon our arrival, the desk clerk was very helpful. The night manager however was very grumpy and rude to her, she was just being helpful with the automatic door malfunction. He treated us like we were idiots not knowing how to trip the sensor (which we attempted several times). Breakfast the next morning was not wonderful either. The eggs were runny and the sausage was greasy. The packaged peanut butter was expired. The location was quiet for our sleep, but the bed was uncomfortable. The shower fan was noisy. The wifi did not work at all, even after several attempts to get connected. The daytime desk clerks were not very helpful and acted as if we were an interruption to their day. One bright spot was the day manager. He was extremely helpful with directions out of town, which could not happen soon enough for us! We were very disappointed because generally speaking, we do not have issues with choice hotels.
