Close to RTA

Posted Sep 29, 2015
We travel to Cleveland once a year for the Browns game and last year stayed at this hotel because it was close to the RTA and cheaper then staying downtown. We stayed again this year in hopes for a good experience. The hotel is alright the rooms are clean, but it looks like mold forming in the showers. There were fruit flies all over the restaurant that is linked to the hotel. The staff never really greeted us. It said we would have a sofa in our room we did not. There is no hot tub which we were hoping for. Will most likely try a different hotel next year.

Trip back to CLE for class reunion

Posted Sep 21, 2015
Great location, convenient access to airport, highways, and my local destinations. Third floor room was quiet and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Needs updating to stay competitive. Breakfast is not complimentary so I ate off-premises.

Disappointing to say the least

Posted Sep 18, 2015
Pros: Front desk staff was exceptional. Very courteous and helpful
Cons: Upgrade the place to the 21st century.
Location: Didn't use any local ammenities
Rooms were very clean but not very comfortable. Beds were like sleeping on a slab of concrete. Staff was very good, very polite and very helpful but the hotel looked like it needed a major upgrade. No breakfast but an attached restaurant which didn't open until 6AM. Of course I fly early and on the road by 5am so resort to eating breakfast at the airport. Not very nourishing!

Great staff, hotel needs update

Posted Sep 16, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Building needs updating (walls cleaned, painted, carpets replaced)
Location: right near airport; about 10-15 from downtown. Easy drive.
The location of the hotel is pretty good, although finding the actual entrance was a bit of a challenge--couldn't find the right driveway/turn into the hotel at first. Once I figured that out, access wasn't too bad. The hotel, overall, is in need of some major updates. While the lobby area is nice, the hallways and room seemed a little drab, walls needed paint, carpet needs replaced. I will say the bed was very comfy and the room, beyond the stained carpet was very clean. I had a few incidents at this location. On my first day, someone tried to get into my room--first tried to use a key and then banged on the door because the deadbolt was on. A little scary! After I got over the scare, I went to call the front desk, but they reached me first. They had forgotten they checked me in and gave someone else my room. Then, there were issues with my keys getting into the room. Ordinarily, I don't care, but since my room was as far from the lobby (walking), it was a hassle. This happened a few times, the last time because the front desk had programmed my key for only a 2 night stay instead of 3 nights. Fortunately, no one attempted to move my stuff from my room and that was resolved. If you're looking for a close airport hotel or somewhere within 15 minutes of downtown, this isn't a bad stopping place. However, it needs a little work. Despite some of the confusion, the staff was very nice and accommodating.

The slowest check in ever

Posted Sep 12, 2015
If the front desk person could be any slower he would- only one person in front of me and took not a joke (by the time I start clock him after a long wait) 25 minutes until got to me which went as slow as could be. Although I had a reservation online- never expected this. Room had a chemical smell- toilet seat broken, water damage marks all over the ceiling- the only thing good the bed sheets were clean.

Airport Convenience with Charm

Posted Sep 10, 2015
Pros: The staff. The on-sire restaurant/breakfast.
Cons: Reception could be spruced up.
Location: It is an airport hotel approximately 4 miles from the terminals so good for layovers.
Arriving in from the UK late in the evening calls for a stay in an airport hotel overnight to avoid jet lag. We chose Holiday Inn because we wanted somewhere nice but not too expensive and that did cooked breakfast to set us up for the next leg of our journey. You need to know to call the hotel once you arrive and they will pick you up - they do not have a shuttle bus doing circuits. The young lady who picked me up (I flew in separately from my travel companion) could not have been more cheerful and courteous. The drive to the hotel took less than 10 minutes, as did check-in. The Reception area is a bit tired looking but the room was perfectly nice, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful, cheerful and could not have been nicer. The hotel restaurant was closed by the time my companion arrived after 11pm and the staff offered to drive us over to Dennys a couple of blocks away. We chose instead to walk over to the 7/11 next door and bought snacks to see us through. Breakfast the next morning was made to order and well worth the money. We couldn't finish the pancakes just due to the sheer volume of food on our plates! Recommended.

chose because it was close to the airport

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: The food at the restaurant was the only bright spot in the stay.
Cons: Guest service - front desk employees very nonchalant and rude.
Location: Close to airport
According to the pictures and descriptions online we were expecting a typical suite with a king bed & hide-a-bed with a little extra space. The hide-a-bed was so close to the bed it actually touched when folded out. It also told us online that there were cribs available, which there were not. There was no bedding in the room for the hide-a-bed and we had to call the front desk 3 times before anyone came to the room with bedding. We also called for extra towels and never received them. The front desk staff was incredibly rude. We did order room service from the restaurant and the food was surprisingly excellent. Very disappointing stay.
