Great location, great staff, so-so rooms

Posted May 3, 2017
Pros: Location, staff
Cons: Cleanliness of rooms, loud noise early in the morning.
Location: 5-10 minute walk to Quicken Loans Arena and Progressive Field. Across the street from all the new bars and restaurants.
If you're in town for the game, you really can't beat the location. 5-10 minute walk to Quicken Loans arena and Progressive Field. It's also right across the street from the walking street with all the new bars and restaurants. The inside of the hotel is beautiful with the high natural light arched ceiling and unique layout. The issue is with the rooms. Unfortunately, these aren't the most spotless rooms despite the modern design. Also, I'm not sure why the construction crews need to start rehabbing rooms on upper floors at 7am in the morning. I was really upset by this as I was in town during the week for pleasure, not business. Some people do want to sleep in while visiting during a weekday. If you do decide to stay here, request a room in the middle (not facing either of the streets) otherwise you will hear construction crews and mack trucks roaring outside. What offsets my critique of the rooms and noise is the outstanding staff. The building engineer was so worried about my comfort when there was an issue with my first room. The front desk staff were very accommodating as issues arose. everyone was very friendly and helpful. If it weren't for the staff, I'd be giving this hotel 3 stars.

Dear smchi, Thank you for the detailed review. I am glad that the staff were able to deliver. I do apologize for the noise, while construction is complete, our location in the city sometimes leads to the hustle bustle being a bit too loud. Cordially, Todd Costin General Manager

Noisy Nickel and Dime

Posted Apr 10, 2017
Pros: The staff were nice.
Cons: The parking options should be honest and clear. If rooms are under construction don't put customers next door to them.
Location: The casino was in walking distance
We were greeted by the valet, excellent young men, however, when asked if there were other parking options we were told no only valet parking. Checking in was easy and didn't take long. The rooms were clean and nice. however, we were roomed at the other end of the hotel next to rooms under construction so we were awakened to that noise. The other thing I didn't like was the nickel & dime this hotel does. I mentioned the valet because it cost an additional $30.00. WYFI was also an additional fee.

Ideal Location

Posted Apr 4, 2017
Pros: Location, Location, Location.
The Hyatt Regency @ the Arcade is a great property in the heart of the city. I would stay at this property again based on its ideal location! If you are attending a sporting event or the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, its ideal. It is also a very beautiful property. We had some noise concerns with our neighbors but it wouldn't deter me from recommending it.

Quiet and clean room.

Posted Apr 3, 2017
Pros: Interesting layout. We especially liked the extra security. We had to use our room keys to access the elevators and get inside after a certain time
Cons: Additional electrical outlets. Only found two available ones in the room itself, and one in the bathroom.
Location: Perfect location to a variety of restaurants, boutiques and coffee shops. The House of Blues is right across the street.
The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was right across the street from the House of Blues where we attended a concert.

Beautiful historical building in a convenient area

Posted Mar 25, 2017
One of the most unique and beautiful hotels that I have ever stayed in. The service was excellent. Every front desk staff I met was so pleasant and nice. They were efficient and friendly, I felt their sincerity of wanting the guests to have the best stay with them. Truly an excellent experience.
