A nice Christmas Eve
Posted Dec 27, 2016
We decided to spend Christmas Eve downtown to see the lights of Public Square, visit the Casino, and attend Mass at St. John's Cathedral Christmas morning. We had a wonderful time but didn't realize so many places would be closed so early. We did have a nice meal on E4th at one of two places open, and a beer at the Corner Ally. Public Square was beautiful. It was a very nice way to spend Christmas Eve. Only down-side of the hotel was the coffee maker was stored in the bottom of the nightstand and the fridge and microwave were just stacked against a wall...very odd. We didn't see the coffee maker so we ordered room service for coffee to be delivered between 6:15am to 6:30 am. If never showed up even though we had the card out in time. Also the walls are made of paper so when the loud patrons next door came in around 1am, we heard everything! So it wasn't the most restful night of sleep.
