“This is without doubt the worst European hotel that I've stayed in. I would sincerely recommend not using it. They are just hopeless. It's a hovel and the staff are just unbelievably nonchalant and unhelpful. When I eventually managed to get somebody to come to check me in (late afternoon, so a normal sort of time) he had obviously just fallen out of bed and all he could tell me was that I hadn't paid my bill yet. I was able to show him my Expedia receipt and he reluctantly laid off. There were……

“No air con amd only abandoned in the room (off course I should have done more research) but was not expecting the room to be above 35 deg upon arrival. Almost impossible to settle/sleep and fan had littl3 effect. Staff were excellent and property was clean Restaurant closing at something like 8 pm was not good and then finding the bar closed at 9:30 was also not good.- again. Perhaps my own fault for not researching quite enough.”

17. 皇家酒店

Sas van Gent

“Lovely big room with kettle, fridge and microwave. I even had a little balcony tho I suspect most rooms don't. A/C worked very well. My room was in an annex across the street and the stairs leading up to it were very steep which may pose a challenge to the less able. The bed side light was a bit dim to read by and the kettle took a while to boil. Lovely little village with a supermarket and bar close by, plus very little traffic so very quiet of a night time for a good sleep.”
