For the price not bad at all. Staff was wonderful, the room it's self was good too. I wl say the blankets could have been a little bit thicker because it was freezing in the room and we couldn't get the temperature to rise.

Pros: Tasty food, comfy bed, room appliances worked great.
Cons: Early key expiration.
Location: Enjoyed downtown area
Needed 2nd night when i checked in and was assured we had it, but room keys were not extended and expired anyway at noon after only 1 night. No biggie except we needed to get ready to go to a wedding and had to take time to go straighten that out. Breakfast food (all) was cold at 7:00 am Sunday. Once warmed, food was very good.

Been here 5 times

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: Breakfast is delicious
Cons: Nothing
Location: Fair, Kahdes is a delicious bbq restaurant, All kinds of food.
I've been there 5 times over the last 5 years for business. Each time has been pleasant and easy. Be careful if you aren't a smoker or are irritated by smoke as they do have smoking rooms. Otherwise they have a decent breakfast and nice staff.

Frequent stay

Posted Oct 29, 2016
We stay here for little mini vacations. Great location. Nice hot breakfast (haven't eaten at the lunch buffet). Nice big new tv (we stayed to watch the series premier of Walking Dead, haha) Allows dogs to stay for free. Nice indoor pool and 2 hot tubs. One of our dogs always hunts for stuff left behind from other people and she found a bottle cap and some food that I didn't get to see what it was. Bathroom has exterior sink and mirror and no real room for toiletries. There was one hook on the back of the door at the very very top of the door pretty much touching the ceiling.

Pros: Location and buffet
Cons: Dated materials and low/old lighting
Location: Small town so everything is no more than 10 minutes away
Nice hotel to stay at for the weekend. Cleanliness is fair even though some things feel dated. Very convenient to have Casey General Store right next door. It is located on a busy street so exspect traffic noise. Smoke free room actually has zero scent of smoke.

Thank you for your feedback on the Best Western State Fair Inn. If you are looking to avoid traffic noise, book an interior room that opens to an interior hallway rather than the outside. We are happy to help accommodate guest requests. Thank you for your feedback!

Not as expected

Posted Oct 3, 2016
I stay in Best Western pretty often, but this one was a real dissapointment, for something like this I would't pay more than $50 a night. The swimming pool is located in the middle of the hotel building and the noise that people make in the pool in the morning can be heard in every room in the hotel. Rooms are more than small and with no windows looking outside the hotel (you look thru the window and you see the hallway) REDICULES !

We apologize that our hotel was not up to your expectations. We do have exterior facing rooms that are more quiet, have a large ceiling to floor window that faces the outside, and have a lower rate as well. I hope this helps you when you stay with us in the future.

Traffic noise

Posted Sep 19, 2016
We were in an outside room. The noise from the traffic outside was horribly loud and went on for quite a bit of the night. I'm not planning on staying here again unless we are in an inside room. The coffee pot in the room didn't work well.
