“Host there to welcome us when we arrived. He helped to carry in the luggage and showed us how the hot water and heating worked. Amenities were ideal with breakfast food items included plus a bottle of Prosecco and shortbread as a thoughtful Christmas gift. The property had been decorated for Christmas - another kind and thoughtful touch. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you to the hosts. ”

“The Stables is a perfect getaway for any couple. We had such a lovely time there. We explored the local area which has many places to visit including Belvoir Castle and several nice country pubs which were ideal for a relaxed lunch or two. We also spent some lovely evenings snuggled up next to the log burner. In the early mornings we enjoyed watching the many and varied visitors to the bird table which included an adventurous squirrel who we named Tufty. It was a shame to have to leave but we……

“Property was okay, there was staining around shower basin seals and rust where the toilet brush etc had not been replaced in a LONG time. Glad I brought my own kitchen utensils with me as everything at the property was damaged. Couldn’t even leave a fresh dish sponge for a new stay so questioned how clean the place actually was. The Lino in the kitchen was damaged in places and the fridge had been turned off and leaked into the kitchen floor. Also staining / dirt on sofa so couldn’t really……

“Compact space in beautiful setting and having everything we needed. Bed was soft but comfortable. Worked perfectly for our stay visiting family ”

“Good points - very dog friendly, easily accessible shared garden area, comfy bed, powerful shower, excellent curry delivered from next door Niggles - large green light permanently on in the ceiling, flooded the whole room with a green glow that kept us awake. Very thin walls which are not great when the guests in the neighbouring room stay up until 2am, no ventilation (no window to open) so very stuffy even in December”
