It's not to a 5 stars level hotel. There are too many events and very loud noise and vibrations in the morning from bands rehearsal.

The positives were...Lovely decor, comfy room, friendly and helpful reception. The breakfast was lovely. Negatives.... there were 3 weddings on and the music was loud and clashing. There was nowhere to have dinner except the bar, which was noisy from the wedding music and the menu choice was limited. We opted to eat in our room. One bar staff member was rude and unhelpful when I asked for clarification on 2 of the dishes. We opted for Caesar chicken salad which was actually the worst food I have tasted in Transylvania all week, and the staff did not pay proper attention to what we ordered. Disappointing. The swimming pool is open to the general public so was not at all relaxing as there were several families in the pool.

I checked in and wasn’t even welcomed, I was asked if I had a reservation and I said I did. I was given a key to my room and I was waiting for someone to help me with my luggage but no one came. At a 5 star hotel you expect for someone to help you carry your luggage to your room. No one did. I had a friend joining me at the swimming pool and for outsiders there is a fee to pay to use the swimming pool. Three different staff members asked for three different fees. They should have the same price regardless who is asking. The hotel was clean and the food was good.

The front desk staff (especially Dan) was fantastic and when my husband and I had a drink at the bar the night of our visit, the bartender was friendly and funny. My problem was breakfast - the service was TERRIBLE. Only one server acknowledged my husband and I and that was only one time when we asked “can we sit here” and she gave us a curt “yes.” Although breakfast was a buffet, the description offered eggs to order. There was no sign of any eggs being made at the buffet, but the same unfriendly server brought other people in the restaurant eggs from the kitchen along with cappuccinos and other types of coffee drinks. And she was interactive and pleasant with those other people. Frankly, I was offended by the lack of attention and it cast a pall over the entire experience.

It looks amazing however, lots of broken bits and pieces and light panel in our room kept flashing all night. The pool you had to pay to use and it wasn’t cheap. Hardly anyone used it

They could improve the A/C units, the lowest setting was 22C and the power of the unit was not enough for the size of the room. Summers in Romania can be quite hot

Really large hotel and spacious rooms. We arrived very late for checkin after our flight was delayed and all restaurants in the area, including the one in the hotel, were closed so plan accordingly. The hotel has a beautiful view of the city

Hands down the best hotel in Cluj
The hotel staff is very nice, they speak English and are very accommodating. The location is a bit far from the city center but in a good new neighborhood. And for me the highlight was a Lidel grocery store and a Moldovan restaurant within 400 meters from the hotel. The hotel restaurant is also very nice, see the picture of the house steak.

Wonderful hotel, very comfortable and nice to stay
Beautiful hotel, very comfortable and excellent service. Located on the top of the hill and and having coffee on the balcony and looking at the view is wonderful. Room was large and breakfast was the best we had in Romania. Next time in Cluj, we cairtainly will come back to it. Only drawback was the TV. Not enough English speaking channels (especially news).
