Not what I expected

Had 2 rooms rented to attend a wedding. My room smelled like smoke bad. I notified the front desk about changing rooms but was told they were fully booked. I walked to the store next door to buy air fresheners but that didn't help. There were small roaches in the room too. My daughter's room didn't smell like smoke but their room's air condition didn't work right and by the morning there was water on the carpet. We complained when we checked out and they refunded us for one room for one night.

It's a good hotel for the cost

It is worth the price, close to all the plants in the Freeport area. Walking distance to a couple of restaurants. Less then a 5 minute drive to several good ones.

Could be better.

Breakfast had boiled eggs and no meat (bacon). Had a smoking room.

The hotel is older but it could use some update. The electrical plugs did not work. When you plugged something in it fell out. The staff was talking and complaining about things in front of customers which they shouldn't be.

Roaches were all over the room. Sheets was not very clean. Checked out early

Disappointed

The only reason I was disappointed is because as I was getting ready to go to bed, I saw a roach coming out from behind the head board where my grandson was sleeping. Then I look down at my CPAP machine and there was a roach on top of it. I took pictures then killed them and went to throw them in the toilet. There were at least four more in the bathroom. I called the front desk and told her the problem I was having. She did her very best to help me. She even offered to put me in another room but my grandson was already asleep. I didn’t want to wake him, so she brought some bait for the roaches and put it where I had seen the roaches. She was SO VERY NICE AND HELPFUL AND I THANK HER FOR THAT!!!

Clean, comfortable room at a reasonable cost. No complaints. Location is handy to anywhere most people would want to go in the area.

Reoccurring stay

Pros: Value
Cons: It’s an older hotel, but I’ve had no issues
Location: It’s a small town, and all of the hotels are near each other.
I’ve moved from the Lake Jackson area, but have returned once a month for a few days to finish up some things. La Quinta is an excellent value for the money.

OK but just didn't like the fact the room had cockroaches in the room very disappointed because everything else is nice
