Close to Suntrust Park (Bad Customer Service)

Posted Jul 28, 2017
Pros: It is close to Suntrust Park
Cons: Invest in customer care training
Location: Close to Suntrust Park
My friends and I booked this room back in March for a Atlanta Braves game on July 15th. We planned a road trip all the way from New Jersey to Atlanta for this game. While on the road I have received a phone call from the front desk of Extended Stay America stating that they have over booked my room and can only accommodate a room with a pullout and a cot in order to accommodate me and my friends. They were very rude about telling me this new and made it seem as if it was not a big deal. It baffles me that a room booked 5 months in advance would be overbooked and being notified the day before was unacceptable. I have not received any apology or compensation for professionalism of the staff at this facility.

We extremely apologies for not having your suite available and for the behaviour of our employees. We certainly understand your frustration and regret the inconvenience this caused you. Your experience is not indicative of the service we train our associates to provide. We have shared your feedback with the entire team as we take your comments seriously, and our training will be revisited to ensure this does not happen again. Please give us another opportunity to have you as our guest as I am confident we can replace this experience with a more positive memory! Sincerely, General Manager

Comfortable and easy access to Braves games.

Posted Jul 19, 2017
We made an overnight stop to catch a Braves games while driving through Ga. The room itself was okay. The beds were comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was clean but housekeeping obviously skipped on vacuuming the floors. It was pretty obvious. Also, they were short on clean towels, so we had to wait for some to be cleaned. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

My work often has me in Marietta, GA and I have stayed in many of the area hotels over the last three years. ESA-Cumberland is where I feel most comfortable. The staff is superb, the hotel is convenient and the rooms are comfortable. Perfect for me!

Good Distance to Suntrust Park for a day stay

Posted May 26, 2017
I booked this hotel because it was a short distance from Suntrust Park for a Braves game. The staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is located in a good location and near shopping and restaurants. The only things that were not good about this hotel were that the layout is kind of confusing when trying to find your room and the air conditioner did not get very cool.

Clean & friendly close to stadium No ice machines!

Posted May 13, 2017 on Hotels
No elevators so I needed ground floor. Had 1 left. Got my keys and went to the room only to find it looking lived in. Found out later housekeeping simply didn't clean it after the checkout. Next room given was the model. While it was clean the blanket had huge holes in it. There's no ice machines on property but I didn't find out until the next day. There's apartment size fridges with ice trays but I didn't make any thinking there would have been ice available when we returned from the game. It's located very close to the new stadium! You could walk there without a problem. Burger King is across the street. It was quiet. Breakfast was coffee, instant grits and oatmeal. Granola bars and hot cocoa were available. Flavored creamer was there also. Staff was very very nice! If not for their kindness my stay would have been awful.

Tattoo shop downstairs

Posted May 10, 2017 on Hotels
Well the attendant was not particularly happy about having to check me and a few other patrons in and could not stop checking her phone during my check in. The lobby reeked of marajuana which was lovely. We then got to our room and found our bed sheet was a flimsy cloth that barely stayed on the bed. We went to the local sporting event and came back around 10 to find loud Latino music booming from the area next to the hotel. In addition was the person running a tattoo shop out of the room below us. We decided to just eat the money and drive home. Overall was not impressed and will not come back.

This is an extended stay hotel. There were no dishes or silverware of any kind provided. There were no cups, at all. There were two of us in the room and only three towels, no wash rags no dish towels. The shower curtain was very short and the water soaked the floor. The bedspread had what looked like cigarette burns even though it was a non-smoking facility. Overall we're not happy campers.

Thank you for choosing to stay at our hotel. I am sorry for the disappointing stay you had with us and for the issues you experienced during your visit. I have shared your concerns with the concerned team to ensure it does not happen again with our future guest. Please know, to ensure cleanliness of kitchenware upon check-in, brand standards require us to make these items available at the front desk rather than leaving them in the suites, and our team gladly delivers them to your suite. Towels and linens may be exchanged at the front desk anytime and complimentary. We are grateful for the feedback you provided, and we hope you will choose to stay with us again. Sincerely, General Manager
