Only the location of this place is key

Posted Mar 26, 2017
Pros: The location...
Cons: I would bulldoze this hotel and rebuilt it...
Location: Located in the heart of the city, there is everything around...
We arrived super late and they still welcomed us very nicely, but there is no ramp so my mum could not use her wheelchair. At least there was an elevator. The sauna they have is only open from Thursdays on and it also allows access to the general public which seem to me a bit strange. The inside of the building was frozen in time in the 70's. If some investor would take care of this place it would be a hit.

Hotel that has seen better days

Posted Dec 20, 2015
Pros: The hotel is central, and just a block from the main plaza.
Cons: There seems to be difficulty with some bullying staff, and other staff seem intimidated and unable to repond to any requests.
Location: Lots of museums and cultural centres.
We reserved a non-smoking room through Expedia, arrived in Cochabamba and the reception hadn't confirmed the booking, then acknowledged it, but gave us a small smoking room, rather dingy and dark, with just one chair and a small table apart from the bed, this in a hotel that claims to be four star! We asked to change this but the man at receeption refused and stated it was a non-smoking room (despite the smell and the ashtray). The second person at reception confirmed that yes, it was a smoking room. The breakfast is modest, without any waiter service apart from someone asking the room number, and the second day we had to leave early (6am) to catch a flight but there was no accomodation for this, and we left without eating or drinking anything, again fine but not in a four star hotel. The second night there was a party ('event') in the room upstairs and the noise of chairs dragging across floors went on until well after midnight. I complained twice and the reception finally offered to change our room at midnight, but by then it was too late to be meaningful. The folks in the reception were always quarrelling between themselves, and the atmospherte in general was rather unpleasant.

Not clean

Posted Oct 16, 2015 on Hotels
There were lots of tiny bugs in the room--probably bed bugs. Not well maintained, even though the facilities are decent.

Cheap and not worth a single cent.

I booked short notice and there were very, very few hotels with vacancies. The location tipped the balance in favour of Cesars Plaza. I knew that this was not going to be good, but I did not expect it to be so bad. The air is filled with dust from the 1970s, nothing at all has been replaced since. It is extremely dark and loud and full of plastic. The breakfast bufffet is awful. It took me 10 minutes to find at least one spare socket to recharge laptop, cellphone etc. and I was only able to do so by unplugging the TV. Avoid!

Hard to find the address (no street number on the outside) but at the end good hotel for the price.

Built in the 60's... and never updated since!

Posted May 28, 2015 on Hotels
This is an older hotel, built probably in the 60's or 70's and barely updated since. Rooms were clean, and there was electricity, hot water and internet access. Staff was not the best, breakfast either...

Dear Costumer, Thanks for your feedback, The Hotel was build on the 90's but we agree that we need to renovate the rooms and the social areas, indeed we are making a renovation plan, we have been almost on the 50 %, This year we will have new elevators and the rooms with Led TV and Split A/C, we hope with this changes we will be able to get a better feedback from clients like you! Thanks for the recommendation. Regards, Manager
